Historia
Dallion thought that his successful encounter with the star would grant him calm, respect, and the luxury of leveling up at his leisure. He couldn’t have been more wrong. Juggling between surprise visits from old friends, new guild responsibilities, and the preliminary trials for the glorious Festival Tournament, Dallion gets caught up in dealings with Nerosal’s awakened criminal underground.

I couldn't do it
Revisado: 09-19-23
First off, the narration is top notch. Very well done.
The story was slightly interesting.
That's the good things I can say about it.
I couldn't finish though. The main character gets annoyed every time someone talks to him. It's like he's an 11 year old spoiled single child brat that never grew up at all. I have to skip a lot of the dialogue and even whole chapters with how awful the author gave him this attitude.
If you need some teen angst and enjoy playing the victim then you might be into this. Otherwise, it's honestly not worth it unless you've gotten this far into the story and want to finish.

Unable to finish
Revisado: 06-17-23
I am very sorry to Emily Lawrence, but her voice just doesn't work for me. I found it too high pitched and she doesn't have the ability to sound different based on different characters so you have a very difficult time knowing who is speaking.
Baldree did fantastic.
I wish there had been only one narrator to begin with. Was too distracting to have them change between chapters. I found myself just skipping a lot and just deleting the audiobook at chapter 19, I don't care how it ends. Very boring story and characters.

Great story with twists and turns all around
Revisado: 10-20-19
Another great story by Brooks. This was an intense emotional rollercoaster that flips you up and down between good and evil with interesting characters and real life turmoils we may all face and it's exhilarating. Its nice having so much time pass by between the beginning of the series, to now, and so many of the best elements are still around. The parts in Paranor are always my favorites and I'm glad this staple keeps going. But wow does this end.... crazy (☉。☉)!

Historia
A publishing event 25 years in the making: the long awaited sequel to the unforgettable post-apocalyptic fantasy, Ariel. Thirty years ago the lights went out, the airplanes fell, the cars went still, the cities all went dark. The laws humanity had always known were replaced by new laws that could only be called magic. The world has changed forever. Or has it?

Great story, amazing narrator
Revisado: 08-21-16
I have to say J. D. Jackson is one of my new favorite narrators and this story was really brought to life by his performance.
The story itself is beautiful and unique in a way that I haven't experienced before from a book.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I like the book fine. it pisses me off that I lost my spot, and can't find where I was because they refuse to just put actual book chapters.
So until they make it so I can just go back to chapter 19, which is in WHAT PART OF THIS DAMN AUDIOBOOK FILE!?!?!?!?!??????? I won't stop being irritated and pissed off.
