Historia
In her youth, Molly Anderson couldn't help crushing on gorgeous bad-boy Dylan Black - even though he only had eyes for her older sister. When things didn't work out between them, he said goodbye to Molly as well, vowing they'd have a great adventure when she grew up. Years later, dumped by her fiancé just before Christmas, she's finally ready to take Dylan up on his promise. A guarded Dylan always had a weakness for Molly, and when she waltzes back into his life - grown-up and gorgeous - he's stunned.

So many good narrators, this was not one of them
Revisado: 12-06-18
This was an okay holiday story, certainly not one of Susan Mallery's best. It was difficult to get through though due to the narrator. The voice of Molly, main character, was so irritating. For as insecure as Molly was, her voice should have sounded softer, more timid, instead she sounded course, more like a street walker. Surprisingly, the male character's voice wasn't bad.

Historia
Novelist and professional companion Evangeline Ames has rented a cottage in the outskirts of Little Dixby, far from the London streets where she was recently attacked. Fascinated by the paranormal energy of nearby Crystal Gardens, she finds some pleasurable diversion in sneaking past the wall to explore the grounds. And when her life is threatened again, she instinctively goes to the gardens for safety. Lucas Sebastian has never been one to ignore a lady in danger, even if she is trespassing on his property.

Reader was so bad I couldn't get into the book
Revisado: 02-09-15
What disappointed you about Crystal Gardens?
Not sure, couldn't listen to it
Has Crystal Gardens turned you off from other books in this genre?
No
What didn’t you like about Justine Eyre’s performance?
Her voice was very irritating and her male voice was awful.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Anger, because I really wanted to listen to it, I have listened to all Amanda Quick's books and have never had one that I didn't love, until this one. The reader was so bad I could not get into the story.
Any additional comments?
Anne Flosnik has read most of her books. I don't understand why publisher's have to keep changing readers, especially in a series.

Not her best
Revisado: 01-10-15
What would have made Ghost of a Chance better?
A total rewrite
What was most disappointing about Jayne Ann Krentz’s story?
The whole thing
How could the performance have been better?
A different reader might have made it tolerable, this reader seemed like she was screaming through the whole book, plus, her character voices were terrible.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
No
Any additional comments?
I have read many of Jayne's books and I have to admit, it was a struggle to even get through this book. Don't waste your time or credit.
