fantastic content but annoying music
Revisado: 08-27-22
this is a tragedy of epic proportions and I'm glad that audible is helping create and Host this podcast it is very necessary for people to see and hear and learn what has happened in the United States. not only is this happened to Ray but it has happened to other folks as well. I'm only giving it 4 stars because while the content is fantastic it's absolutely overproduced ridiculously over produced with music and xylophones and drums while I'm trying to listen to the actual words - please audible knock it off

Historia
It's hard not to like Joey Jackson. He oozes charm to go with his good looks. Young women are especially taken by him. Right up until he kills them. Ex-CIA officer Mason Ray plans to find him and stop him. For good. In his debut novel, Wiley Brooks weaves a character-rich story through exotic locals in Malaysia. The year is 1987. It's prime time for young backpackers from around the world to discover the beauties and mysteries of the long-time British colony.

Entertaining Summer Read
Revisado: 08-05-20
This is an example of a perfect Summer Beach Reading book! It's intriguing, gripping and with an interesting story line. I won't got into details of the plot as other reviewers have already done so.
For listeners: The narrator is absolutely TOP NOTCH and brought the book alive with his easy style, inflection and tones that made each character easy to discern.
I have nothing but positive things to say about this book I do have one minor bit of feedback for the author if they'd like to kick it up a notch next time. I would have liked to have been a little more inside the mind of the main antagonist as well as the protagonist. We hear about an abandonment situation with the antagonist, but it would have been nice if that had been gone into in more detail from his first person perspective. That nugget was glossed over from afar. I wanted to step in behind the characters eyes to see what makes them tick. It would have been more powerful and helped the readers connect to the situation better. The relationship between dad and daughter could have been fleshed out more so that we feel the connection and the ensuing pain.
Don't get me wrong, this is an enjoyable book and highly recommended summer reading.
