Historia
Using court transcripts, personal interviews, and police records to retrace the key events of the case, this journey to uncover the truth about what happened to Richard Davis provides a disturbing, eye-opening look into the problems of today's military. After surviving tours in Bosnia and Iraq, Davis was mercilessly tortured and ultimately murdered before his remains were set on fire in the woods of Georgia.

I can't stop thinking about it
Revisado: 09-07-20
This story has stayed with me. I can't stop thinking about it and I cannot believe this is happening to our military members and their families. I saw the movie about this case but books always have more. Cilla McCain's description of how he was killed is profound. It made me so damned mad about how they made him beg. The description of his father's pain is overwhelming. And when his mother found out I could feel her screams. The author did more than just write a true crime story, she became an advocate for the family. She fought to get this young soldier's remains returned to them for burial. I couldn't believe his bones were being kept on a closet shelf in the District Attorney's office! That should be a crime in itself! Now I know why the flag is upside down on the cover. It is a call of distress. If someone is murdered in the military they have nobody who can help.
