Historia
"Have faith and not fear" was what the other women in Nicaraguan jail said to Allison, aka Alli Bee, when she was curled up in the corner of her jail cell crying. She felt lost in the dark, but her future readers were her strength when she was weak. Through divorce, addiction, toxic relationships, and so much more, you see her raw, true, painful choices that have led her to where she is now. Alli Bee chose to be as vulnerable as possible in hopes that her story can help others realize their potential for growth in this wild world.

I have never listened to a more real and honest story. Listening to Allie Bee describe her story and journey toward finding her light was truly inspirational. 💖 I feel that I am not alone and I am more understanding of myself. People make mistakes and have pain and this is normal. We can use these things as stepping stones for growth. I highly recommend this book.

Historia
The Goldfinch is a haunted odyssey through present-day America and a drama of enthralling force and acuity. It begins with a boy. Theo Decker, a 13-year-old New Yorker, miraculously survives an accident that kills his mother. Abandoned by his father, Theo is taken in by the family of a wealthy friend. Bewildered by his strange new home on Park Avenue, disturbed by schoolmates who don't know how to talk to him, and tormented above all by his unbearable longing for his mother, he clings to one thing that reminds him of her: a small, mysteriously captivating painting that ultimately draws Theo into the underworld of art.

I loved the book due to its complex creativity and internal struggle of death and the emotions that go with it. This is a very visceral and evocative story that mingles the lovely and tragic events that life offers all of us.

Historia
From the best-selling author of The Beekeeper’s Promise comes a gripping story of three young women faced with impossible choices. How will history - and their families - judge them? Paris, 1940. With the city occupied by the Nazis, three young seamstresses go about their normal lives as best they can. But all three are hiding secrets. War-scarred Mireille is fighting with the Resistance; Claire has been seduced by a German officer; and Vivienne’s involvement is something she can’t reveal to either of them.

This book was very easy to get into from the moment it started I loved how the voice actors were. The story was fascinating and gripping throughout and I can tell that the author put a lot of research and work into the book.
