I have read this book and absolutely loved it, this author is outstanding and I'm learning a lot of history about France (where I am from), Spain and Mexico....but mostly about the vulnerability and perseverance of the human heart. I would read any of his books if he had more.

One of my all time favorite audiobooks

I love the story, the depth of character, the soul searching and the voice of this man. It’s my all time favorite book. I’ve listened toit a good number of times and can’t get enough of it. He’s a great narrator and author and I can’t wait to hear his next book. I treasure how his descriptions of nature and the depth of his heart. Thank you Jedediah

My favorite book

I love this story and this man's heart. I can relate to his story even though I grew up in France Catholic and moving to the USA and giving my heart to Jesus in my early 30's. It's a story about the heart of man and being loved by God and loving God in spite of all man's rules and regulations. I also love this narrator and have found more books read by Adam Verner, he's my favorite

I had to return the book because of the music at the beginning of each chapter. I have this book in English too and just love this lady's heart. She is a real hero to me! I also love the narrator both in French and English (I am from France) highly recommend this book. I put in a request for audiobooks to remove the music because I use these audiobooks to get to sleep at night and music wakes me up. Insomnia issues - works better than any sleeping pills for me! 😀
