Historia
Shari Franke’s childhood was a constant battle for survival. Her mother, Ruby Franke, enforced a severe moral code while maintaining a façade of a picture-perfect family for their wildly popular YouTube channel 8 Passengers, which documented the day-to-day life of raising six children for a staggering 2.5 million subscribers. But a darker truth lurked beneath the surface—Ruby’s wholesome online persona masked a more tyrannical parenting style than anyone could have imagined.

Heartbreaking story
Revisado: 01-13-25
Shari Franke does a wonderful job detailing the hell on earth she experienced created by her mother Ruby Franke. Although I gasped aloud several times and groaned from the heartbreaking parts of the story, it was so good to know that although there is much more work to be done, the Franke family is healing. Shari is an incredibly strong and brave woman.

Historia
People say Beartown is finished. A tiny community nestled deep in the forest, it is slowly losing ground to the ever encroaching trees. But down by the lake stands an old ice rink, built generations ago by the working men who founded this town. And in that ice rink is the reason people in Beartown believe tomorrow will be better than today. Their junior ice hockey team is about to compete in the national semifinals, and they actually have a shot at winning.

Historia
Sarah Huckabee Sanders served as White House press secretary for President Donald J. Trump from 2017 to 2019. A trusted confidante of the president, Sanders advised him on everything from press and communications strategy to personnel and policy. She was at the president's side for two and a half years, battling with the media, working with lawmakers and CEOs, and accompanying the president on every international trip, including dozens of meetings with foreign leaders - all while unfailingly exhibiting grace under pressure.

Such a great book.
Revisado: 09-22-20
I have long admired Sarah Sanders, but this book celebrated and increased my admiration. This book also reminds us that what we see and hear in the news about any presidential administration (but especially President Trump’s) is often not the real story. I highly encourage anyone to read this book, especially before the November election.

Great book
Revisado: 01-01-19
This book made me feel so much like Knox and I lived the same life just in different states with different parents. I laughed and “Amen”ed my way through this book. I love Knox’s honesty and feel like he is speaking for so many of us in this generation. His expression of doubts and wrestling with questions/spiritual ideas is honesty without pretense like I feel so many spiritual books have these days. His reading of the book made it even better than if I had read it with Knox’s voice in my mind. Love it all.
