This novella is perfect as an audiobook! The story is thrilling with twists and turns and the narration makes it that much more exciting! I’m even more convinced that Mina and Brian are perfect for each other!

I loved this audiobook! The Pleasure House series is my favorite from Kitty Thomas!! After reading Kitty’s most recent novella, “The Easter Hunt,” it was great to go back and listen to the origin story. Brian has grown on me (I admit to disliking him when reading “Guilty Pleasures”). I loved the duet-style narration, it really brought the story to life!

I loved this book! I enjoyed that it combined the “darker”, primal themes with the mythology/paranormal world. I read this first as an ebook, enjoying the story of the berserker, Cade, whose rage can only be calmed Chloe, the valkyrie. Once the berserker sets his sights on Chloe, there’s nowhere she can run where he won’t find her and make her his. Like ahhh - so hot!

The narration by Troy Duran and Lauren Sweet was perfection. Troy nailed the primal, sexy, yumminess of Cade and even captured nuances between the man and the beast. Loved it! And Lauren is perfect for Chloe - very relatable, helping pull me into the story!

Ohh I loved this audiobook!! I first read “The Proposal” as an ebook. The story has so many twists and turns! After the mysterious opening, the book unfolds in flashbacks that piece together the mystery. It kept me on the edge of my seat!

I loved both Meg Silvan and Sebastian York’s narration! Meg narrated the female perspective and Sebastian narrated the male parts!!! They made the story come to life! As a bonus, the chapter titles even called out which character’s perspective we are listening to!

Oh - and there is a great author’s note at the end of the audiobook! It’s so fun to peek behind the curtain of Kitty Thomas’ mind!!

So captivating!!

I read this book when it first came out. I always prefer audiobook format since I love to multitask so I was so happy when I heard this was being released as an audiobook!!

I loved the narrators! They only enhanced this story for me! I loved Tor Thom’s deep voice narrating Ari’s POV and Charley Ongel was perfect as Claire’s POV!!

Claire is quite the dynamic character! She starts timid, scarred by the horrors she endured in captivity. After spotting a man who she believes was her captor, she quickly shifts to cold and calculating, filled with rage and hell bent on getting revenge on the monster who held her captive. As the story progresses, she rediscovers her confidence and sense of self and has lots of hot and steamy moments along the way.

I’m pretty sure I say this about every one of Kitty’s male leads, but Ari is just molten sex appeal. I’d 100% recommend this book for him alone!

I’ve read this book so many times! It’s one of my favorites from Laurann Dohner! I love the secret pregnancy (and of course, species romance) twist to the classic love story! Becca is such a smart, brave character who is very relatable! And Brawn is such a sweet hottie! The narrator only enhances the story!

I started this audiobook thinking I would just listen to a chapter to start but quickly got sucked in, not wanting to put it down! I loved Kitty Thomas’ novella in ebook form and Addison Barnes’ narration took the story to a new level! Her distinct voices for each character added dimension to every scene.

Barnes’ deep voice for Angel perfectly matched his patient, dominant, considerate, sexiness! Her conversational tone for sweet, brave, quirky Astrid made her that much more relatable. And those sexy scenes? They definitely brought the heat! A great performance for a great novella!

Immersive. Simply Perfection.

Between the engaging story and seamless narration from Shirl Rae, I got so immersed in this audiobook! With murder, mystery, H-O-T sex scenes, and ballet, I was hooked from the first chapter! The narration only added to that, with differentiating tones for each of the characters that never came off as forced and never distracted from the story. I first read this book in ebook form. The main character is so relatable (don’t worry, I swear I have no urge to kill anyone) and even more so in audio form with the conversational tone Shirl uses. I loved how Kitty Thomas used her knowledge of the ballet world to create a story that just felt so raw. And those sex scenes?! Wow! I swear, just listening to them raised the temperature in the room! Really, the combination of, in my opinion, Kitty’s best work and an immersive narration from Shirl, this audiobook was perfection!!!

Audiobook performance enhances already swoon-worthy story

From the narrator, Gregory Salinas’, first words, I think I melted on the spot! His voice is so rich and he acted out the characters in a skillful way that only added to the story!

I’ve been a fan of Kitty’s work for some time now! Since I prefer audiobooks due to my long commutes, I was particularly excited to hear she had an audiobook coming out!

I remember reading this book when it was first released! I love this deliciously depraved version of the classic Greek myth of Persephone and Hades. There’s something about Hades’ cruelty and dominance when combined with his care for Persephone that got me all hot and bothered! Definitely a swoon-worthy man!

Sometimes innocent female leads annoy me because their innocence seems too forced or their reluctance stalls the storyline. However, I loved seeing Persephone discover her own sexuality!

Overall, well worth a listen to! I hope to hear more of Kitty’s work brought to audiobook form!
