I listened to this book and it very fast paced with A LOT going on but it just didn't work for me.. I understand the underlying message of deviance of Hollywood, but it was just so chaotic throughout. I just didn't feel trying connected to the protagonist. it want bad just not my favorite.

Must Listen!!!! 👂
Revisado: 12-01-24
This book is as hilarious as it deranged! I loved the beginning half where I was laughing at the characters who were so well done and then things spiralled out of control toward the end. One thing is for sure, I could not stop listening! The narration was amazing and the story, as gruesome as it was at times, was incredibly engaging. I was looking for a listen to get me out of a terrible book rut and this was definitely just the ticket. Beware of the triggers. It's graphic and disturbing in the end, but I can't help but give it a solid 5 🌟 review!

I really enjoyed this thriller by White. It was fast paced and kept me engaged throughout. It's also part KU, no need to spend if you have KU. WELL WORTH IT EITHER WAY!

It’s the opening night of The Manor, the newest and hottest luxury resort, and no expense, small or large, has been spared. The infinity pool sparkles; the “Manor Mule” cocktail (grapefruit, ginger, vodka, and a dash of CBD oil) is being poured with a heavy hand. Everyone is wearing linen.

loved the premise
Revisado: 05-31-24
I really enjoyed this book! I loved hearing about the different men that Gwen encountered in the dating app 'Connected' and how things with with each of them. I did figure out the culprit very quickly into the story by simple progress of elimination, but it was still fun guessing how it would end and it was a very engaging listen. I loved the narrator and the story was fun, exciting, and definitely with the credit!

characters so intriguing
Revisado: 04-27-24
I really loved this book. I have been a fan of Hepworth for a while now, but it's so obvious from this novel that her writing has developed to a whole new dimension. The characters were loveable and relatable. I loved Norah, Alicia, and Jessica each for different reasons. I also loved to hate Mrs. Fairchild. The book is fast paced and keeps you engaged by switching back and forth in perspectives and the evening is PERFECT. First, full 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 book I've read and enjoyed all year!

Every year, she invites her closest friends to escape the English weather and spend Easter on her idyllic private Greek island.

Short but Sweet
Revisado: 01-18-24
I really enjoyed this new release from Michaelides. The narrator takes us on a journey that is part theater and part memoir. I really didn't expect a lot that happened. The twists and turns kept me constantly guessing and it was pleasantly surprising. The only thing I can complain about is that the narrator telling the story made the action less palpable somehow. I guess because it all seemed to be taking place in part tense or we were hearing the information second-hand. It didn't seem exciting even the content was.. I guess it was just delivery that missed the mark a tiny bit for me. overall, WELL DONE! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thank you #netgalley for early access to this amazing book. Just released 1/16/24. Must read!! #TheFury

A Little Far Fetched
Revisado: 01-14-24
I loved the premise of this book; however, it fell a little short for me. A women's secret society is a great start, but the secrets they were hiding were a bit cliche for my taste. I was really hoping to have been more enchanted by the theme but in a book that's meant to encourage girl power, the stereotypical viewpoint of the women irked me. And the end didn't work for me at all, it was just so rushed and unrealistic. The performance was well done and in was entertained but it just wasn't as interesting or fresh as I had hoped. ⭐⭐⭐✨

So many twists and turns!
Revisado: 01-14-24
This is my fave book out of the last three I've read from this author. It's had elements that reminded me of a more sinister version of the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Each character has a different agenda and nothing is clear until the end. Overall, I would definitely recommend it!

Great Narration and Intriguing Premise
Revisado: 01-09-24
This was actually a really good pick. I usually enjoy the thriller's that are a part of Reese's Book club and this definitely lived up to the hype. Evie aka Lucca had been a diligent employee of Mr Smith's since her first run in with the law when trying to steal money from the rich to help her mom get breast cancer treatment. But who is Mr. Smith and how much should she trust him?? This is a great page turner, I loved the narration and the pacing was just right! Hard pick! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
