Historia
Clare's grown very fond of Alfred Glockner, the part-time comic and genuinely jolly charity Santa who's been using her coffeehouse as a place to warm his mittens. When she finds him gunned down in a nearby alley, a few subtle clues convince her that Alfred's death was something more than the tragic result of a random mugging, despite the conclusions of the police. Between baking delicious Christmas goodies and fending off the attentions of a persistent professional elf, Clare sets out to solve St. Nick's murder.

2017 has been a monumental year for Audible, having just celebrated our 20th anniversary, a milestone that would have never been possible without our wonderful and loyal listeners. One of our major commitments is bringing new and diverse audio experiences to our members, so this year, as our gift to you, we pulled together a collection that reflects a little bit of everything we’ve been up to recently.

Horrible Narrative, Shrill voice
Revisado: 01-31-18
Too bad this gift was narrated by her, annoying voice. Can’t believe she is doing this for a living. Thank you anyway Audible for the gift.

Historia
Every Thursday morning for two years in the Islamic Republic of Iran, a bold and inspired teacher named Azar Nafisi secretly gathered seven of her most committed female students to read forbidden Western classics. As Islamic morality squads staged arbitrary raids in Tehran, fundamentalists seized hold of the universities, and a blind censor stifled artistic expression, the girls in Azar Nafisi's living room risked removing their veils and immersed themselves in the worlds of Jane Austen, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Henry James, and Vladimir Nabokov.

Hard to listen to for hours
Revisado: 01-31-18
The story is great but I cannot listen to hours of her accent. She enunciated every word making it tiresome to listen to. She however grasped the English language very well, but cannot make it easy to listen to, for me.

The Irish
Revisado: 12-06-15
Enjoyed the Irish family scenes and their bantering ways. Parts of the storyline could have been explained by the author but we're never addressed. The story left me feeling sad about what had happened and wished the main character had listened to his father and let sleeping dogs lie. Either way you still had an empty feeling left inside you as nothing could have corrected the past anyway.
