Man what a GREAT story….BUT……

More Questions Than Answers

The acting was stellar, and the pacing, suspense, & energy of the story kept me rapt, though it seems to me the partner/fall guy chosen here was quite unlikely. Why would someone like the kidnapper put faith & trust into an unstable, unpredictable wild card like that for a supposed well-thought out plan such as this? Also, the all-seeing, all-knowing expert & super tuned in rookie cop just didn't ring true. There wasn't enough backstory or character development to sell their easy ability to see through to the truth so easily. While, ultimately, I was pleasantly surprised by the plot twist, I do not enjoy cliffhanger endings. An ending should be just that, an end. Despite the bumps in the road, this was, overall, a pretty enjoyable listen.

A page turner you will not want to put down! Its excitement, layered characters, and breathtaking imagery pull you in and keep you close. The reader's interpretation practically makes you feel every blow, every triumph, every heartbeat and every heartbreak. A must read!
