I had such a good time listening to The Feedback Loop volume one, that I jumped right in for volume two. And it did not disappoint. The first-person perspective and relentless barrage of jazz-age noire vernacular were right up my alley. This is not for the kids. It's gritty, but a ton of fun, Packed with references, but not in a Ready Player One kind of way. This is more like constant similes to (sometimes) obscure cultural references. The story is full of action, too, so there's a lot to parse, all the time. I was constantly stimulated. Great fun, and Jeff Hays nails the whole thing.

There are probably flaws to be found, but I had such a good time listening to The Feedback Loop volume one, that I jumped right in for volume two. The first-person perspective and relentless barrage of jazz-age noire vernacular were right up my alley. In the first couple books it was a little overwhelming, but I really enjoy the style. This is high-quality entertainment, right here! Fun writing, good comedy, and excellent narration. If you like funny litRPG books, I think this will scratch that itch for you. It's part of a larger 'universe' of book series, but there's no need to have read anything else to get it. The Feedback Loop series would definitely provide reference points, though. Hiccup is a special kind of trip, and FeeTwix is my spirit animal. The humor and action are fast-paced. I laughed just about the whole time.

I love this book. It wasn't what I was expecting, but it was a fun adventure, and I found myself rooting for everyone to have a happy ending. I wish I could live on Sacred Cat Island. WHile I may not be the best judge, I feel confident in saying this is appropriate for all ages.

Now that I've read a bunch of other books from this author, I have a better understanding of the setting, and I recognize most of the cats' names.

I wasn't sure what I was getting into, but it turned out to be a good time. This series may not be the best introduction to the Proxima Galaxy books, but I liked it enough to start listening to all Harmon Cooper's books in the same 'universe'. As far as I can tell, this series is set furthest in the future of the Proxima Galaxy books and is different in that most of it takes place in an augmented reality NYC, rather than in an VR MMO game setting. I like the music 'skills' aspect of it and really enjoyed the main character finding his way through the system.

Jeff Hays and Annie Ellicott did a great job, as they always do.

Drew, you are imaginative, and you are a good writer. You are, however, fond of repeating a phrase over and over again, and also in need of a decent grammatic editor. The phrase you choose seems different for each book, so that's nice. These are excellent books, I just want you to mix it up a bit more, where language is concerned, and please have someone check your grammar, because you mix the occasional idiom and mess up your conjugation from time to time. Consider your idioms and repetition to a more critical degree, but please keep pushing these fun ideas. I love this series a whole lot!
