Historia
From the site of Anakin Skywalker’s last stand—on the molten surface of the planet Mustafar, where he sought to destroy his friend and former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi—a fearsome specter in black has risen. Once the most powerful Knight ever known to the Jedi Order, he is now a disciple of the dark side, a lord of the dreaded Sith, and the avenging right hand of the galaxy’s ruthless new Emperor. Seduced, deranged, and destroyed by the machinations of the Dark Lord Sidious, Anakin Skywalker is dead . . . and Darth Vader lives.

Great story but has audio issues.
Revisado: 02-06-25
The story is excellent but the audio has issues. I listened to it on my Alexa Dot. The narrator would talk at a normal or comfortable level and then start talking so quietly that you couldn't hear him well enough to understand him without turning the volume up and then all of a sudden he's talking very loud to where it's uncomfortable to listen. This isn't necessarily the narrator's fault as much as an audio issue. When doing the finishing touches there should be a way to ensure that the audio stays at a certain level so that it can always be heard and understood without being so loud as to be uncomfortable.

Historia
Oh God. It Hurts! Is an audiobook about the hard questions in life. This audio version was created specifically for an audiobook and is updated and expanded from the print version. Why is there pain? Why do people suffer? How does God fit into all of this? This audiobook asks lots of questions and shares the author's own personal stories, as well as those of his sister. Many of those stories are unpleasant and troubling.

I want to like this book, but I have to many issues with it. This is one title that I would love to get my money back for. I purchased both the audio version and the printed versions. Unfortunately the author allows his very obvious liberal political views to color the book. I was not expecting a Christian book written by a pastor to contain profanity this was very disappointing and distracting. I almost understood the first use of the profanity in relaying a quote from his sister, but he uses the "B" word (means a child born out of wedlock) repeatedly in the book to describe fellow Christians who he feels treated him or someone he knew poorly. I felt it was in poor taste and was unnecessary to rely the story he was trying to tell. The author also unfortunately used his platform to insult and belittle fellow Christian author Dr. James Dobson by referring to his work as dangerous junk. If I had it to do over I would have passed on this book.

If you hate America this books for you.
Revisado: 12-28-24
I was greatly disappointed in this book. The author spends hours telling how horrible the United States of America was through out history. It's slap full of liberal propaganda. If you love America do yourself a favor and skip this liberal trash. It criticizes John Wayne, and every Republican president that it mentions as they praise Jimmy Carter, Robert Kennedy and John F Kennedy. The only Democrat they criticize is Johnson. Very left leaning celebrates LBGTQ+ life style. Trying to figure out how to get my credit back!

Historia
Clayton Burroughs comes from a long line of outlaws. For generations the Burroughs clan has made their home on Bull Mountain in North Georgia, running shine, pot, and meth over six state lines, virtually untouched by the rule of law. To distance himself from his family's criminal empire, Clayton takes the job of sheriff in a neighboring community to keep what peace he can.

Awesome story, wonderfully narrated!
Revisado: 07-22-15
I highly recommend this novel Brian Panowich is without a doubt one of the most descriptive authors I have ever read. Brain Troxell's narration added a whole new level to the novel. Very well done by both the author and narrator!
