I’m so annoyed at all the self help books I have that are basically commercials for the author’s other works, and this one is no exception. ALL of the case studies are examples of already successful people (think: MD’s or successful entrepreneur) who clearly have the types of incomes to afford to travel to Australia for and advanced workshop, be attached to brain-mapping equipment, and be called on stage at such events. They were not ‘ordinary’ people by any means, nor did they gain their extraordinary lifestyles and healing by reading this book—they went. To. A weekend. Seminar. There’s nothing in this book to USE, not even the actual meditations he is suggestion. I ended up crying over wasting money on yet another dead end… I give up. 42 such books has taught me that there is SOMETHING out there but you have to be wealthy to access it.

This is another one of those ‘books’ I wasted money on, with its fake reviews. It’s literally a broad and vague report about nerves in general, with very little actual fact. I’ve been researching vagus nerve exercises for while and THIS publication was made in someone’s basement. It constantly repeats itself, often makes no actual sense, and each chapter —although titled differently— is a reiteration of the chapter before. Garbage. Again, Audible needs to do better and not let just anyone crap into their libraries! This is why I quit my membership.

See, this is why I cancelled my audible membership: crap like this. I wanted to research the use of psilocybins for mental health. This ‘book’ had good reviews— if I had looked closer, I should have noticed they were all from the same couple of days. My bad. This was either translated poorly from another language, or it was a middle-schooler’s research paper that he did from memory after reading an article. It’s very poorly worded, often makes no real sense, and contains no actual science. Oh, it MENTIONS science—kinda— here and there: “There was a study that shows that some people had adverse reactions, while some do not.” What study? Where? When? What reactions? The whole thing is written this way, contains no actual information, and narrated by a man who is overly enthusiastic and unnecessarily expressive for such a topic. He would be great for a children’s book but no ‘acting’ is needed for this topic. Audible, stop letting this homemade crap into your library!!!
