These Narrators….This Story….

How do I put into words how much I love this book? Scarlett Drake is an auto-buy/auto-read author for me. The journeys that she takes characters on, the way she allows them to be human and flawed and yet still worthy of love blows me away. That is every single one of her books. Felix and Nico were one of my favorite pairs of hers. Her choice of narrators to bring this story to life are EVERYTHING. Nathan Wolfe was the perfect Felix. The emotional range, the way he brought him to life? Perfection! I need to hear him again and again. I am also new to Harley Chase as Nico? Are we serious right now? Their performances were amazing - but were only possible because of Drake’s story telling leading the way. This is an automatic re-listen for me. A comfort read/listen that I didn’t see coming. The banter, the emotions, the fire…You need to listen to this. And if it’s your first Scarlett Drake journey? Welcome - there are two others for you to devour. If you have been here awhile? You already KNEW how good this would be.

Another amazing time!

I love Emmy Sanders. I think the worlds and characters they create are absolutely wonderful, innately flawed and surrounded by wonderful found family. ADORE this series. Nick J. Russo was wonderful - the only issue I had was there were a few moments where I struggled to tell which character he was. But most of the time - he was absolutely stellar. On to Malibu….

First of all Zane Daniels is amazing. Please let him just personify the chaos that is Tatum and the steadiness of Anthony forever please and thank you. He was able to bring them to life absolutely perfectly. The story was amazing - Cora Rose did it again with this series starter. This is darker, mafia romance with the Cora Rose flair that only she and do. LOVE IT.

Redemption Done Right

If you loved Sem and Maggie - you will have met Max. His redemption story is a good one - he is doing it for the right reasons and takes his time. Beau is a gem and I absolutely love how he accepts and supports Max - even when Max can’t. The narration is amazing at bringing these two people to life. Getting to explore their journey like this has been so much fun. I wandered away from Cora’s writing for awhile because books are distracting - and this story has brought me back - I can’t wait for the rest of this series to come out!

The way I was so excited to see this finally come to audiobook - the way the narrators brought some of my favorite bonus scenes to life…I am amped! From Secret Ice Cream Powers to IKEA birthday parties and making the playoffs…I love it so much!

Well deserved hype!

This book has been on my TBR for awhile - when I found out there was going to be an audiobook- I was amped. I love a well done audiobook- and this is definitely that.

I am a big audiobook listener- so to have a new voice in my ear was refreshing. I am always nervous when there is one narrator for the entire work - Zachary Zaba was absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to hear him more often- I can’t even tell you which character I enjoyed more -Rapha or Jae. I might be leaning more Jae…

This is an instant comfort listen - it he flow of this story is wonderful, the characters and the journey they go on is fascinating and the spice is so well done…. Ms. Drake knows what she is doing I am just saying…

If you haven’t read this (like myself) - I can’t recommend this book enough!!

A Friends to Lovers you don’t want to miss…

I am not normally a ‘friends to lovers’ fan - it takes a certain couple and a certain story to bring me around. This is a story that did that. It was already a comfort read for me in my Kindle (and in paperback) - so I was thrilled to find it had made its way to audio. I will say the only reason this is not five stars across the board it’s there was an issue with me with Burk’s accent - it took me awhile to adjust. But I love Tim and Liam working together on this - they brought these two hockey idiots in love to life in a way that is just wonderful. I can’t wait to listen to it again!

Another Comfort Listen...

While this is the second CE RIcci book I ever read - I was hesitant about the audiobook - I don't know why. But I was - and that was a mistake on my part. If there is something you can trust CE Ricci with - it's making sure that her vision for the stories and characters she creates are the ones you get to experience. These narrators brought Aspen and Keene to life in a way that I was concerned wouldn't happen. I shouldn't have worried - they blew it out of the water. The way they conveyed the emotion and power of the scenes? I was getting emotional all over again - just like I do when I read the book.

And just like the book being one of my comfort reads - this is being added to my comfort listens.

Here's the thing - you have to trust CE Ricci with the journey. You have to know that she will never break the character's hearts (and yours) without helping everyone find their happy ending. Humans are inherantly flawed creatures - we are going to fuck up, we are going to faill short - and it's the journey back from that (*eyes Aspen*) that makes it so much sweeter when it all works out in the end.

Welcome Aspen and Keene into your life - trust me. You won't regret it.

Garrison Dixon and Jameson Bates….these two idiots are just absolutely gone on each other and I am here for it. They take frenemies to lovers to a whole new level - but man once they realize they love each other? It’s all in for them.

Tim and Liam once again just - GOT - these two. I will say the banter between the two of them was absolutely amazing and the emotional scenes (especially at the end) really hit home in some great ways.

This entire series is a comfort re-read/listen for me.

Welcome to Kensley….

I love a good bi-awakening, I love when people find their person, find themselves, and just find their happiness. Sometimes it takes a bit to get there. This story takes you on a journey and I am here for every minute of it.

Tim and Liam are two of my favorite narrators - they aren’t afraid of the emotion for their characters and they embrace their personalities.

Keeper is special to me - it was my first book by this author, it got me hooked on this author and this small Kansas town and it’s amazing people.

This is a comfort re-read and re-listen.
