Norwegian legacy
Revisado: 10-29-24
I loved learning about the musical legacy left by the Norwegian people. I knew nothing about this contribution. The author clearly did her research in to all things orchestral. The story began a bit slowly but had me as soon as the setting changed.

Emma Lee’s tenacity
Revisado: 06-21-24
Loved this story mostly because it attests to the belief that no matter what your upbringing you have choices to better your life and the future. I especially liked the show of support for the main character by unsuspecting others. The darling baby was the icing on the cake!

Historia
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

The Science
Revisado: 11-27-23
As a long life person of faith I found this book profoundly revealing. It ratified for me that science is God’s perfect plan beautifully explained through real life and interesting characters. Growing up in the sixties the situations were relevant and accurate! Mothers of daughters encourage them please to read this book then share what the climb was and is like for you!

Great story. Worth the five stars. Author did a remarkable job twisting this tale with interest, devotion and feeling. Performance did not equal the story but still worthy of every word.

This story is an incredible journey of a young man who has to fight his way through life. An insightful
glance into the life of the poor and addicted in the southern US. It offers a perspective seldom considered by the rest of the country. So informative and captivating. The narrator was absolutely sensational and the main character eye opening and endlessly surprising. Read this book.

Appalachia Comes Alive
Revisado: 12-07-22
This is a great story embellishing fact with fiction. If you enjoy learning about the south and the history of Appalachia it’s a must. Loved the accents of unfamiliar language. A tiny bit predictable but that was outweighed by the obvious knowledge and expert research.
