Premise okay, not enough to stay with it

Typical of contemporary romance publishing these days, I find the use of vulgar language off-putting. Makes me wonder where the writers vocabulary left the building as it litters the plot. So, I didn’t listen past 1/2 hour mark(?). Actually—the premise wasn’t okay either—predictable, banal, just not good or entertaining! Sorry, Author, it just is so-so and meh!

Most of the premise is excellent. You’ll find it in 12 Step groups that are healthy. The point on influencing another person to change? Nope. That’s where she stumbles a bit. I can only control myself. If I influence someone it’s bc that person is open to my suggestion. Change yourself.

Also, the bloopers, not necessary, please delete in future recordings.

Twist and turn

It twists, it turns and held my attention. At first, it was slow moving bc I was expecting something like Harry Potter or a Percy Jackson type storyline. It stands on its own. I’m glad I bought it bc I am going to listen again soon.

She keeps it simple! And where I’ve heard others say “it could have been worse” instead, she flips the thought to “how easy is that?” In spite of how easy it wasn’t! But she goes with the flow. I think she’s a good example to everyone who grew up thinking they were “less than” and is actually quite the opposite! Thank you Ina!

Live fearlessly

Sometimes disturbing, mostly curiously seeking out something that I know is the authors subjective experiences and not my own, what happens in death, after death, has always fascinated me.
I know my God, and this didn’t dissuade me from that belief, as I think sometimes I expect I might be influenced to reject my basic belief system. Honestly, what I took from this book was a sense of comfort, being comfortable in NOT knowing, jettisoning fears I had regarding loved ones and myself, and lost important speak words of love, gratitude, peace and joy to those who are living now that I love, and not wait for “a better time.” No time like now.
Grace can grow anywhere! And today, I’m growing happier and healthier from the inside out.
Very good listen, very good read.

Authenticity, respectful of other faiths

Adam Berry spoke with integrity, respect for traditional denominations, authenticity about his beliefs and his background. Seekers are often marginalized, shunned for thinking apart from the crowd. I respect his experience and his vulnerability to share his beliefs openly. I look forward to listening to and reading the print format of his book. Alas, there is only 1 copy in my State’s library system. Would that more public libraries were free to exercise their freedom to educate and speak from all walks of life. Certainly, if I can borrow many books on serial killers, some explicit with photos included of their activities, there could be equal support for stories of light, acceptance, hope and peace.

I love well narrated books! Brendan Fraser is wonderful! The story kept my attention and I loved that the consciousness of individuals could be sustained in suspended animation and then reanimated in another body. Very neat!

Thank you Ms Rubinstein for your brief assessment of general personality types and their overlaps. This book helped me to identify and understand how people think in broad sweeping terms. It’s a shortcut for figuring out quickly how to communicate effectively with others.
