Great Sequal!
Revisado: 10-11-24
I loved the themes of the book, and I loved the characters. There was only one thing that kind of bothered me, and it was a line that said, "Sometimes hope is more important than truth." There is a chance that I'm interpreting it wrong, but I do think hope and truth aren't necessarily disconnected; rather, you hope in what is true. But of course, we don't always know what will happen in the future, so to say, "hope in what is true" is a difficult thing to do. The only example that I can think of is in a Christian context. For example, Christians don't know for certain what will happen in the near future, but according to the Bible, Christians know that Jesus will return a second time. Because of this truth, they can hope for that future.
But other than that, I highly recommend this book and the book before this one called The Last Human.

Such a good story!
Revisado: 09-29-24
What I found strangely good about the book was that I related to one of the main characters, that is XR (a robot.) I feel like XR's personality fits mine very closely, and seeing his flaws made me think about my own. I also loved XR's tranformation throughout the story, how he becomes more human as the story goes on.
Though I relate to XR the most, I think Ceeron is my favourite character. He's funny and is willing to put others first before himself.
I also loved how the book was narrated by XR in 1st person, as if we're the robot entering this new world for the first time, learn how it works, but then must question what we've been told, and change throughout the story.
I thought it was interesting that the subject of God and religion wasn't brought up, but I can imagine trying to get that theme in would mess with the flow of the story. I just think that, with the theme of purpose, it would fit well, because questions like, "where do we humans get our purpose? Is it God that gives our life purpose, or do we simply create our own?" I just think that would've been an interesting theme to touch on. But this is a childrens book, so maybe that might be a bit too deep of a theme.

I Loved these books!
Revisado: 07-02-24
I can't stress how much I loved listening to these books! You will not be disappointed. I loved each book, and getting references from one book to the other was amazing! I had difficulty pausing the book, I just wanted to continue the whole time. The narrators are amazing as well! Though I will confess that I did cringe at some parts, but since these are children's books, it's fine. If you have never read these books, please, do yourself a favour and read them.

Historia
A movement called ‘deconstruction’ is sweeping through our churches and it is affecting our loved ones. It has disrupted, dismantled, and destroyed the faith of so many, and this book can help you not only understand what’s happening but also stand your ground and respond with clarity and confidence. In this seminal book, Alisa Childers, author of Another Gospel?, and Tim Barnett, creator of Red Pen Logic, will help you understand what deconstruction is, where it comes from, why it is compelling to some, and how it disorients the lives of so many.

Honesty
Revisado: 02-15-24
This book is Good! I love their honest approach to this topic. They tell you the origins of deconstruction, its problems, and how it leads people astray. Yet they do it in a loving way, not wanting people to be swept up in this movement.

A great Story!
Revisado: 11-05-23
I personally find virtual reality interesting, and getting to listen to a dramatic story with that as a key feature is so cool!
I thought it was interesting that the book took an atheistic view of the world, (one I don't hold) and I found myself disagreeing with points here and there, but I still loved the story overall.

If you ignore this book, you'll regret it!
Revisado: 09-21-21
WOW! just wow. This book is an amazing read (or listen). This book goes into detail about what kind of an impact Jesus had in history and shows why He matters to us, even if you don't think he was the one who he said he was. This book has thoroughly convinced me, that there is no way you could ever prove that Jesus didn't exist, to even think it is laughable! If you want to know if Jesus is the one who He said he was, THEN READ THIS BOOK!
All I have left to say is this: Jesus is indeed history's Person Of Interest.
