Fun escape!

I have listened to the first 3 titles of this series. To date they are the only ones available on Audible. They were just the kind of book escape that I needed from the stress in my own life. Marcy Blesy does an amazing job having the perfect blend of humor, suspense, and romance! Enough that you can keep reading/listening if you want to, or put down and savor over a week-whatever your schedule allows. The reader did an excellent job at being consistent and developing voices that made the narrative come alive. I have loved being read to since I was a kid and this book was everything I look for in an audio book. Plus the characters are now, for me, a very relatable blend of middle age and retirees:)!

I like how the person that reads the book stops and lets you know when there is a visual and what pages it is on. It comes with the PDF (that’s free on the Internet), but it’s linked here for easy access.

I am so thankful for Rachel Held’s honesty and life story of doubt in and love of God and the church. I grew and healed while listening to her wonderful voice.

Ignore audio quality issues - buy this book

This book was missing from Audible for some time, and having listened to it, I assume this was because of significant if intermittent audio quality issues, in particular words occasionally missing from the middle of a sentence. However, if this is the best version of this audio now available, this should not be a reason to exclude this selection. It’s the first book in the series as read by Michael Prichard, and as such it is irreplaceable in any condition. Get it. It is an amazing and entertaining listen, and I’m so glad it was made available again.

Soy anglohablante. El original es uno de mis libros favoritos, y el lector del audiolibro inglés es excelente. Sin embargo, este lector ha interpretado cada papel y cada línea de diálogo de manera tan perfecta que cuando yo vuelva a escucharlo de nuevo, me lo propongo hacer en español. También la traducción al español es tan fiel al sentido y al estilo del original que no se pierde casi nada de la música de la lenguaje de Patrick Rothfuss.

Truth matters

Works of fiction can be truer than non-fiction, but not when the author fails to respect his audience enough to tip them off. Dave Barry's stories are truer when he strays from the facts because the humor drives home the point. With Daisy I simply never know what to believe.

Masterful

Great plot, wonderful character development, inventive world. Over 24 hours of listening in which the writing remains so tightly packed that at any moment could describe it as poetry. Hats off to the reader as well for his voices and accents.
