Historia
November 12, 1944. This house holds on to souls for a lifetime. I thought I had given it to my husband when I vowed to love him until the end of time. I lied. Nothing could have prepared me for the day my phantom appeared outside my window. He was terrifying, yet hypnotizing, and I couldn’t deny my intrigue. I never intended to fall into a whirlwind romance with my stalker. Especially because he’s so much more than that. A criminal. A mobster. The man who offers me solace from the monster in Parsons Manor. There are many that haunt these halls, yet it’s only my husband I fear.

it hurts me to rate HD like this
Revisado: 03-10-25
this book had so much potential. i was so excited to read this after reading the duet. I loved the storyline of it, despite how similar it was to the duet. but I'm severely disappointed in the abrupt ending. it's like she got bored writing this book, thew it down and hit "publish", knowing we'd all immediately buy it. also, I know HD is known for her smut, but if you're going to give an abrupt ending, at least give us more to the storyline. the entire second half of the book was nothing but smut. I'm still rating at 3 stars because we /sort of/ know what happens based off HA, the storyline itself was good, likeable characters and the smut was good tbf 😅

Historia
It's their usual Thursday girls' night in, and best friends Skye, Elena, and London are enjoying hanging out at Skye's house in New Mexico, eating junk food, drinking wine, and playing with Skye's little children, Carter and Abigail. Until the intruders arrive. Hearing the horrific screams from Elena and Skye, London hides the children, tiptoes out to see what has happened . . . and disappears. After Carter raises the alarm, Detective Alyssa Wyatt is called in to investigate a bloodbath that appears to have no motive, no evidence, and worse still—no sign of London.

Historia
Tess Strebel can’t recognize her own face. She can’t recognize her home. Her bedroom is unfamiliar. And she can’t remember the handsome stranger lying next to her in bed. A stranger who claims he’s her husband. Tess reads a letter in her own handwriting, composed during a rare lucid day, explaining her life as it now exists: she was in a terrible car accident one year ago. Every morning, she wakes up unable to remember most of the last decade. Including her own wedding.

very good
Revisado: 02-23-25
i love Freida so much. this wasn't one that has a bunch of crazy twists, but has a very good one at the end. i just wish there was a liiiittle more to the ending. it was a bit annoying listening to the same things about 4 times, but I get that that's part of the story. the performance of the narrator was great. I'd recommend this one.

Historia
According to the FBI, I was considered a serial murderer after three kills. What do they call me after fifty-two? They call me the Silencer. One final bullet would have been all it took to stop me from taking another soul, and I would have been doing Meridian City a service by pulling that trigger. An angel crying for help stopped me, and that night, I took three lives for her. Then three turned into eight. Then eight turned into twenty. Twenty turned into twenty-one. Twenty-one turned into twenty-three.

⚠️MY REVIEW HAS SPOILERS⚠️
Holy. Shit.
This book was a wild ride. I fell so deeply in love with the main characters. This book absolutely destroyed me and I don't know if I'll ever be okay again haha. I mean this in the best way. This book was an absolute work of art. As far as the audio, it was so amazing, beautifully read. the readers did a phenomenal job at portraying the characters. the female reader has a beauty voice and did a wonderful job at giving all the characters different voicesand the male narrator has an incredibly sexy voice that does "crazy" so good! This book is VERY VERY graphic, though.
My heart absolutely breaks for Caroline, too. I can't stop thinking about that. I just can't believe Elenas dad would do that. Im so glad I was warned there was no HEA. My brain read the description and thought "oh Elena probably dies", not once did I expect EVERYONE to die except caroline 💔 im glad I read this book, it's definitely in my top 3 of this year!

Erika: His name is Michael Crist. My boyfriend's older brother is like that scary movie that you peek through your hand to watch. He's handsome, strong, and completely terrifying. The star of his college's basketball team and now gone pro, he's more concerned with the dirt on his shoe than me.

very good book!
Revisado: 09-07-24
I was hesitant about reading this book because I've heard it has a lot of sensitive topics and is beyond dark. I didn't feel that way, I've read books way darker. I thought this was an amazing story between the two MCs. the spice was soooo good!!
the only complaint I have is that the narrator for Rika sounded too mature to voice Rika. Rika is 16/19 in this book and the narrator sounds 40+. I am also not a huge fan of her nasally vowels, but none of this was enough to take away from the story for me.

very good book, but the narrators male voice...
Revisado: 08-20-24
As a huge dark romance fanatic, this book really captivated me. I'm sadly a sucker for Stockholm in dark romance and this book delivered just that. it's very dark and it has a decent list of triggers so I do recommend reading with caution. the storyline could've been better by giving Kaleb more character development, I felt like he had plenty of room for it and I'm hoping to find it in the second book. however, I will be reading the second book in paperback if it is the same narrator. her male voice really took away from the story. i feel like a male narrator would have made this audiobook a 4.5 ⭐. Olivia's parts were nicely done, though!

slow, but worth it
Revisado: 07-28-24
i enjoyed this title, I thought it was captivating once I got to the middle. the beginning is slow and I have to admit, I fell asleep listening several times. but the story gets so much better. additionally, I'd love to add that I think the reader did an absolutely amazing job! her voice is soft and low, but the way she makes the 100 characters easier to tell apart by giving them all unique voices was done so well!
