Historia
Since his wife died, Ralph Roberts has been having trouble sleeping. Each night he wakes up a bit earlier until he's barely sleeping at all. During his late-night walks, he observes some strange things going on in Derry, Maine. He sees colored ribbons streaming from people's heads, two strange little men wandering around town after dark, and more. He begins to suspect that these visions are something more than hallucinations brought on by lack of sleep.

The strange and interesting world of Steven King
Revisado: 10-19-23
It took a while to get there, but worth the journey. Great narration, music was a bit weird and distracting, like an applause sign. Good story, always a buckle up, and see where we go. Great.

Historia
The Poisonwood Bible is a story told by the wife and four daughters of Nathan Price, a fierce, evangelical Baptist who takes his family and mission to the Belgian Congo in 1959. They carry with them everything they believe they will need from home, but soon find that all of it - from garden seeds to Scripture - is calamitously transformed on African soil. What follows is a suspenseful epic of one family’s tragic undoing and remarkable reconstruction over the course of three decades in postcolonial Africa.

Loved it!
Revisado: 02-02-21
What a ride. I couldn’t stop listening to it, never wanting it to end. Carl is a wonderful narrator, brought the story to life, better than cinema could have ever done.Loved the story line of good ,evil, and prospective.

Good adventure
Revisado: 01-31-21
What really makes this story is the story teller. Carl Prekopp is an outstanding narrator. He doesn’t just read the lines , he becomes the characters. I will listen to all that he has narrated.

Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

I’m a grandmother and thought this series might be a little too childish, and though it is directed to young people, I found it greatly entertaining and a fun story line. Wonderfully narrated. A book for all ages really if diversion from bad newspapers and depressing books is what you might be looking for.
