Outstanding narration

The story is a bit overdone but kept my attention due to Rachel Tidd’s narration. I will be looking for more books narrated by her and keep Kate Forster in mind too.

Too marvelous for words

I immediately downloaded this book when I saw Jess Walter’s name. The combo of author, and narrator, Ballerini, kept me up all night laughing and crying.

PANDEMIC RELIEF

If ever there was a time for discovering a new series of entertaining books, this was it. I can attribute my insulation adaption to Karen Menuhin's three English murder mysteries and Sam Dewhurst-Phillips' narration. Not normally a mystery
reader, I was immediately caught up in the series. In this third book, Karen brought the ancient history of Braeburn Castle to the fore-all unknown to me. I look forward to more mysteries in Karen's series and especially to Sam Dewhurst-Phillips' ingenious narrations. They certainly make a masterful combination.
If only there were more available NOW!

PANDEMIC RELIEF

If ever there was a time for discovering a new series of entertaining books, this was it. I can attribute my insulation adaption to Karen Menuhin's three English murder mysteries and Sam Dewhurst-Phillips' narration. Not normally a mystery

ENHANCED MY KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH MANOR LIFE

Book 2 of the series! With Sam Dewhurst-Phillips as a narrator who could go wrong? Karen Menuhin's knowledge of English life after the Great War is vast and detailed. I learned a lot of descriptive vocabulary for English manors but best of all, listening to these mysteries was a memorable pleasure! The characters are cleverly written by Karen and delightfully defined by Mr. Dewhurst-Phillips.

mystery writer. Her addition of many both many quaint and unusual characters including pets woven in with murders is uncanny. Sam Dewhurst-Phillips' talent as a narrator makes for a terrific listen. Now moving on to Book 2 in the series-
THE BLACK CAT MURDERS.

Why did this saga have to end?

This audible had a short slow beginning but when it took off, there was never a lull in the story. I will be looking for more historical fiction by this author. Fascinating history with excellent characterizations. I especially thought Katharine McEwan brought the story to vivid life. We audible fans all know that the narrator makes the book!

I felt I was in England

during the bombing of London in WWII. The story, many moments amusing and many moments poignant, will be with me as I consider my easy life and deal with my minor daily challenges. Thanks fir the loving care in the writing, the outstanding narration and the thoughtful production!
