Micheal Stephen Fuchs' books are a great read. The plot he has created is straight forward but exciting. While some of the previous books felt slow, Cataclysm does not have this issue.

Good macho military bang bang story

This series is exciting and well written. My only gripe is that the pace of later books slows down. It's worth the wait but it's like waiting for next week's episode of Dragon Ball Z, knowing half of the episode will be powering up. Luckily, there are omnibuses, they are an spectacular value.
