I love it all!!

Thank you Audible Gods for Christian Fox!!! He is one of the first narrators I obsessed over but he does not have as many books as others. Anyway, i have spent a worthy dime on the Lakeside series and now this one! I love that he was with a warm colored girl! it was nice to have a change :) Maybe for selfish reasons 😊And Coach Sully was a freak. Geez. Kendra is amazing and so real. Like so relatable. I Love all the narrators of the Lakeside Series and for them to be different that has NEVER happened before. I LOVE these books!! i will probably start over and read them all again. Can't wait to continue this new series.

I wish I could read this book again for the first time. It is the ultimate dark romance with stalker/obsession theme. A thriller at its core and I really had no idea what would happen next. Shane was 100% unhinged and blinded by his obsession. A MAN YOU ABSOLUTELY hate yourself for being attracted to. I am convinced Corvin King has to be slightly dark minded himself bc geez he does bad incredibly well. The writing was excellent. How else could I have been so involved with such a twisted situation? I hope there will be audio of Pax's story bc I would love to hear Corvin bring that nightmare to life.

so I have to be honest and say that I bought this bc of Connor. But I think I also love Samantha. this book was a saving grace. I dnf like 3 books before this but o m g thank goodness for this book. is it long? yes. but it reminds me of like a TV show/movie. I read it like it that. some readers said it was unnecessarily long. but I disagree. and I love me some Dave Davenport 🖤🤘🏽 Devy is such a queen. I love her. like for real. Dane is unbelievably to lucky to have her.

I would never tell anyone that found their self here (reading this) not to read to this book. Obviously you are interested in daaaaark erotica/romance. This particular novel is bursting at the seams with debauchery, gruesome violence, and tons of degradation. Please understand I read the ritual and the sacrifice, too. I am a dark romance type of chick...with that being said:

Ashtyn deserved better. Period. Saint was not who she needed. He was so quick to watch the world punish her and then he seemed to constantly do the same. All while vowing to protect her which did he ever really? By the end of the book I was hoping she would have left with another brother. Her torture lasted for the entire book and was never justified. Gosh some of the secrets Saint kept was more damaging than the ones she was punished for! I cried for her. I wanted to believe she was a strong female character in this world of the worst kind of men. She was confident and had conviction in what she desired. I loved her but alas she was the only character I fell for. Saint can kick rocks with his "I love you" but let me make her do hours of torturous tasks only to leave her wanting. I get the degradation kink but bruh her life??? No thanks.

On a positive note: Hayden was redeemable. Trust me.

However, with that being said, isn't that what makes a great book? One that haunts you far after you read it because of an emotional connection to a character. I for sure struggled with this book. But, it also made me want to enter a fictional world and rescue a hopeless, erotic romantic that fought for her life the ENTIRE book. I will not read this again but I don't regret using my credit. It was like watching a really disturbing movie and owning up to your decision to watch it but agreeing it might have been more than you expected.
side note: no romance in this one😂

I don't review like I should but... honestly I love Jason Clarke. I feel like Everytime I am in an audible drought he brings me back. This is a slow burn but it is so worth it. This story is so good. Alpha moody Silas so in love. love it!!!

The story was pretty good. I don't think I cared too much for the MFC. She was strong until it came to things she should have been strong about. I also feel like the narrators didn't match styles. Viv was supposed to be a polished socialite. One that had to fight for her spot in "society". But maybe it was the female narrator, her character seemed kind of corny at times. Even though there were instances where she had intelligent conversation it seemed forced. I was kind of disappointed bc I really like JM and always look forward to his sultry, dark characters. The chemistry was off between the two for me.

I needed something to read after reading a very dark series. I actually liked this story. It had just enough angst to be enjoyable without stressful. I don't like the 3rd person reading but if it would have been just regular duet it would have been perfect.

heavy content but worth it if you read it

This book has layers. For someone that has faith, there were moments when I had to take breaks. You have to be realistic in the knowledge that there has always been an inherent evil in the depths of religion that uses the word God to corrupt and manipulate. This book did not change my spiritual beliefs but it did solidify the reality that some people who pretend to be ruling in the name of God are in fact the worst kind of evil. It was the church that sentenced Christ to die so there was nothing I was shocked about. However, there were some parts that made me uncomfortable. Very uncomfortable. The way scripture was used and other symbolic pieces. However, I needed to know the end. Once you know the whole story, you understand why the meaning of these representations of religion was used so viciously. Please don't underestimate Brioney at no point in this book. She is unbelievably strong even if at times you don't believe it. Even until the very last chapter. She owns her role in all that happens. Joe Arden put his soul into Aero. Just wow. He had me so invested in his pain. I wanted to reach through the words and hold him tight. I felt like I was in the middle of a thriller more than a love story, but the spice was consistently hot and breathtaking. It was just as fierce as you would expect with a title like Sik Luv. This book was twisted and maddening. But the redemption is worth it. I have read some pretty crazy stuff through audible. But as far as dark romances go, this is as dark as they come. You will either be absolutely enthralled and addicted or disgusted and unwilling to finish. Just genius writing and incredible performances.

I cannot expound on how I ended up here. I have been through quite a few books in the past few weeks that I liked but didn't have me hooked to where I couldn't stop listening. I have read Tijan before but I am not a huge fan of sports themed romances. I prefer dark romances. However, I know the intense nature of Tijan's writing, saw Connor Crais and Desiree were narrating and went for it. O. My. God. It is so dang good. It is the type of book I want to read again and again. Cruz and Mara are so much together. I cannot express enough how amazing this book is. I wanted everything to happen the way it did. Just a genuinely good read. And even though it wasn't overrun with spice...Y'all the scenes are FULL of heat. Trust me. and the storyline only makes it better.

It is so hard to find the right leading lady with a fantastic narrator. (They are sometimes whiny and annoying or weak minded at times. I get so distracted by annoying behavior or not so good narration. BUT, I loved Dallas. She was funny, witty, sexy, and so caring. ) Romeo is everything LJ's alphas are known to be. Complete a-hole material but with those redeeming, "obsessed with a lady I shouldn't have qualities". This book was fun, SEXY (lots of spice), emotional, and with just enough angst without tiring you out. This book brought me back to life. I have been so bored with audiobooks lately that I have been reading old ones. But I didn't want to stop listening to this one. Also, I love Jacob Morgan's voice. Geez. It was so perfect for Romeo. Although, there were parts of this that kind of put me in the mindset of Cillain Fitzpatrick from the Villain, I was all for it. Already categorized as a favorite. So many great one liners, banter, and sexy talk. Worth every penny!!!!
