Excellent Series for Early Elementary

Great book series. Very entertaining and catches the attention of my 7 year old. It's a bit over the top at times for me, but that's what works for the kids. There's a different story per chapter so it's great for car rides. The stories have a similar theme and story arc. It gets a little old but that's great for kids learning to make predictions and understand story structure. Overall, awesome for kids 5-9 and pretty good for parents listening along!

Great Story as Always: Yelling and Whispering

I don't know why but the narrator is all over this place on this third book (the first two were consistent with sound). They whisper and yell and not the way you are supposed to for an audio book. Actual big volume changes. It was impossible to listen to in the car and even sometimes out of the car. Such dramatic changes in sound just doesn't work for an audio book. More equalization, please.
The stories were great as always and we will keep going with the series. My 6 year old loves Nanny Piggins. Hoping for a better and more balanced volume performance in the next one.

Simple and pleasing story. The characters have a strong voice. It gets repetitive feeling at times. A great glimpse into the struggles of another time period.
The Patience narrator was very difficult to listen to. She did not do traditional recording techniques and actually whispered or yelled at times. The voice was great but for audio, please keep a more even volume so we can hear everything.

The narrator is terrible. She pauses in horrible spots and has no reading fluency. Ina has tons of experience but I would have liked more research studies mixed in. Also, a large chunk of the book is devoted to convincing us to breastfeed and convincing large corporations of the importance. Not relevant.
