Historia
Across the country women are being murdered by a killer who leaves no evidence, no fatal wounds, no signs of struggle, and no clues to a motive. They are, truly, perfect crimes. In fact, the only thing that links the victims is the man they all knew: Jack Reacher.

May be my last Reacher.
Revisado: 02-13-24
The narrator's portrayal of several of the characters voices was exaggerated and extremely irritating. The story seemed to be slow and repetitive. I have listened to and enjoyed the first three books in the series but this listen may be my last Reacher.

A complete crime fiction box set! Homicide detective Thomas Prescott may be retired—but a serial killer, a high-profile murder, an ill-fated cruise, and a chilling small-town crime add more than enough excitement to his hard-earned rest. This collection includes the first four books: Unforeseen, Gray Matter, The Afrikaans, and Show Me.

Two of four books excellent
Revisado: 03-04-22
Excellent narrator! Book 1 very grisly. Books 2&3 complex storyline, excellent. Book 4 poorly researched. Doesn't know crap about farming! Painted too broadly about complex crop science food production issues to build the story line! Quotes from cherry picked blogs as source material was irresponsible. Final "disclaimer chapter" was like trying to undo the opening of pandora's box. Might try next book if free.

The King of Con is the true story about a smart, streetwise Jersey boy who talked his way to the top and became richer and more successful than his wildest dreams. It offers an unforgettable look into the life of a man who became hooked on living life to thrilling and dangerous excess, rubbing elbows with celebrities and crime bosses, until he was humbled by the FBI, by the US Attorney, and by life itself. Now, Tom Giacomaro is back in his old neighborhood. His mob cronies are calling, his palms are itching to make billions again, and the US Attorney's office is watching.

Don't bother. A despicable conmans story.
Revisado: 01-22-22
a conman and thief robbed thousands of people of their jobs and pensions. His goal after prison should be to pay them back and more. Then he might amount to something.

Historia
Here is the behind-the-scenes story of how the United States forged its wartime alliance with Britain, told from the perspective of three key American players in London: Edward R. Murrow, Averell Harriman, and John Gilbert Winant. Drawing from a variety of primary sources, Olson skillfully depicts the dramatic personal journeys of these men who, determined to save Britain from Hitler, helped convince a cautious Franklin Roosevelt and a reluctant American public to support the British at a critical time.

Good story. Audio or narration problems
Revisado: 09-26-19
The storyline was good. During the first third of the book the narrator's words ran together making listening almost unbearable. I had to run speed at 85 to comprehend. I have listened to all the other Longmire books without this problem

The year is 2008 and Samantha Kofer's career at a huge Wall Street law firm is on the fast track - until the recession hits and she gets downsized, furloughed, escorted out of the building. Samantha, though, is one of the "lucky" associates. She's offered an opportunity to work at a legal aid clinic for one year without pay, after which there would be a slim chance that she'd get her old job back. In a matter of days Samantha moves from Manhattan to Brady, Virginia, population 2,200, in the heart of Appalachia, a part of the world she has only read about.

Historia
We expect our judges to be honest and wise. Their integrity and impartiality are the bedrock of the entire judicial system. We trust them to ensure fair trials, to protect the rights of all litigants, to punish those who do wrong, and to oversee the orderly and efficient flow of justice. But what happens when a judge bends the law or takes a bribe? It’s rare, but it happens. Lacy Stoltz is an investigator for the Florida Board on Judicial Conduct. She is a lawyer, not a cop, and it is her job to respond to complaints dealing with judicial misconduct.

Reflects strong economic outlook of time when Japan seemed to have be outperforming the US. Could claim some strong racial bias. Not at all similar to some of his earlier work. Strong story line with many surprises but too much economic preaching.
