A good story that went flat in the end
Revisado: 03-12-25
This was a good enough plot and storyline if you don’t mind weak endings. It had a great gripping beginning. I waded all through the book’s many chapters of descriptions of the heroines life. I, as I’m sure, all readers were doing, was waiting for the climactic ending. Well…. The ending was very flat. The big climax at the ending, waiting for the bad guy to get caught and stopped, was squeezed into one sentence! And it was un descriptive and over simplified. It’s as though the author got tired of writing and just threw the ending together with so little effort and description compared to unending chapters of super detailed description. The author wrote this book like it was a time passing soap opera with no tension beyond the great beginning. I was SO disappointed in the lazy writing in the ending. I also didn’t appreciate the disrespectful expressions like “jumping Jesus” and “Jesus on a crutch”. Why did she have to choose to use God’s name as a silly joking expression? Nora Roberts could have put way more writing effort into the ending. That said…It was an entertaining enough book if you don’t mind weak endings. I’m not sure I will read another book by this author.

Jill and Derick knew a normal life wasn’t possible for them. As a star on the popular TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting, Jill grew up in front of viewers who were fascinated by her family’s way of life. She was the responsible, second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle’s nineteen kids; always with a baby on her hip and happy to wear the modest ankle-length dresses with throat-high necklines.

Courageous story of victory
Revisado: 02-19-25
This is a well written story of Jill Duggar’s journey and navigation of complicated family issues within a Christian household. It is also an inspiring story of surviving and overcoming abuse in childhood, and her resulting victory in creating her own life. It’s refreshing to see her be true to herself and interpret what I believe God really intended for us to understand about how to live when he wrote the Bible. She never once sacrificed her character. She grew and created an honest, healthy Christian family with her husband and children.

Revisado: 12-02-24
I read through the book and I kept waiting for the part where she was going to give me this great master plan on how to overcome ADHD and succeed at organizing my finances, work, and time management and all she gave was tips that I read 20 years ago in other books

Historia
In recent years, deliverance ministry has become increasingly difficult. Even the most seasoned ministers struggle to locate and expel demons. Individuals think they are free from demonic bondage, only to be blindsided by another oppressive force. But, for New York Pastor Alexander Pagani, one experience changed everything. He realized how demons lodge themselves in hidden areas of our lives. First, a demon can quite literally reside in an area of the body.

Good story but odd ending
Revisado: 11-12-23
The story held my interest but the ending was a little deflated and left the reader hanging. I liked the book overall, though. I will be reading the next book in this series, if there is one.

Historia
Back in college, Jane Lewis would have given anything to be like homecoming queen Connie Bryan. Instead she was just Plain Jane - overweight, frumpy, and painfully shy. That was then. Today, a lovely and confident Dr. Jane Lewis has a thriving psychotherapy practice, her own radio talk show, a beautiful old Louisiana mansion, and her affectionate, nutty dog, Olive, to keep her company. The only thing missing is someone to share her life.

Revisado: 09-03-23
This started out as a really good story, and seem to have a great plot where Jane was going to be a heroine. But then there was this goes. She was talking to in her house in the whole story became ridiculous and childish. That’s when I stopped listening and didn’t finish the book.

Not helpful for techniques for ADHD
Revisado: 08-28-23
This was an autobiographical account of how the author had super supportive parents and employers so she was able to cope. I could not find any technical information to help the reader with ADHD. I thought the description said that she was able to cope with ADHD without medication. But I couldn’t find any information in the book that was helpful.
