The story is awesome

The story is awesome, but there are some repetitive bits. It repeats background information on at least 3 different things more than once, and I’m only on Ch6 so far. An initial clarification makes sense since physical publication would have been months or a year apart, but multiple times in the first 1/4 of the book is just tedious fluff.
That all said, it’s really well written, as all of the series are. I always recommend this series as it’s fast paced and enjoyable.

Great story, meh performance

I read this book over a decade ago, so I already knew that the story was quite good. But the narrator is robotic. Every syllable, hard consonants, and a slow pace for every sentence. Perhaps this narrator should have practiced reading allowed to children in libraries before doing so professionally. Perhaps she should have researched the subjects within the text to know what it was that she was talking about. Everything sounds like she’s very shocked to be reading it. Honestly, it was hard to enjoy the story with such a grating narration.

This was the best so far

I’ve listened to all of the books in order, and this one had me guessing right up to the end! I love the development in Harry and Fair’s relationship - it’s been repairing so organically. The animals have such fantastic personalities and are so unique. Also, that the main characters are not wealthy and sometimes worry about money or their homes or vehicles makes them more relatable than almost any book I’ve ever read
