Couldn’t stop listening. Great storytelling and emotions. I highly recommend this book for this generation to read to understand what sacrifice really is.

Historia
In August 1967, I fulfilled my dream of becoming a fighter pilot when I was accepted into the 123rd Fighter Interceptor Squadron, the Redhawks, of the Oregon Air National Guard. That dream became indelibly ingrained in my psyche when on the morning of my first day in Anchorage, Alaska, during the Korean War, at the age of 12, I watched F-80 fighter jets make simulated gun strafing passes on a firefighter training tower at the city’s edge of the Cook Inlet.

A great read for airmen
Revisado: 11-26-23
I really enjoyed the military stories and the training process. I’d like a post script chapter covering medical school and flight surgeon experiences.

Great read. Ignore the writer’s political takes.
Revisado: 07-08-21
Great job digging into this confusing backstory that is hard to explain. I wish the author would have taken a lighter touch with current politics. Really a turn off weather you agree or disagree with his opinion. Bourbon is a uniter for everyone who enjoys quality brown spirits with history.

Historia
As always, Reacher has no particular place to go, and all the time in the world to get there. One morning he ends up in a town near Pleasantville, Tennessee. But there’s nothing pleasant about the place. In broad daylight Reacher spots a hapless soul walking into an ambush. “It was four against one” . . . so Reacher intervenes, with his own trademark brand of conflict resolution. The man he saves is Rusty Rutherford, an unassuming IT manager, recently fired after a cyberattack locked up the town’s data, records, information . . . and secrets.

Addictive Series - Mystery, History & Romance
Revisado: 08-06-18
This has become one of my favorite series. I have listened to all five books within the last 6 weeks. Karen White gives us a feel for the South, combining Southern architecture and history with a little supernatural mystery and some romance. She keeps the romance interesting but clean, so it’s a series I can share with both my daughter and grandmother. The narrator does an excellent job as well. I hope she continues to add to this series… I can’t wait!

Historia
LAPD cop Scott James is not doing so well, not since a shocking nighttime assault by unidentified men killed his partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty - until he meets his new partner. Maggie is not doing so well, either. The German shepherd survived three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan sniffing explosives before she lost her handler to an IED and sniper attack, and her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s. They are each other’s last chance.
