Wanted it to get better... ended up wanting to poke my eyes out

While the premise of this story is a pretty good idea, the main character drove me nuts listening to her tell her story. I did like parts of the plot development, but alas it just got too disconnected for me.

While I liked the story and concept of VR into a different world, it saddened me to think of people spending their entire life in an fantasy environment. Some of that just didn't jive with the story and comments later on. One thing that really became tiresome was the repeated "exactly" and "perfectly" all along in the book. I give it a 3 just because of that part of the writing.

Liked how the story and characters progressed. Enjoy listening to Doug Cassell read the book. Only downside was the story shifting between the groups and names (last, or first, or title/rank) made it confusing which group was engaged. Looking forward to the next book and the zombie revenge. Cheers.

I like the way the story and characters developed, although a couple of them seemed a bit rushed. Good progression through the overall story with a nice set up for the second story. I also really liked the narration and the ability of the narrator to shift trough the character "voices". Well done! I like that it was and a bit different from the usual zombie apocalypse stories. Cheers!
