Another excellent book in the series

This is such a fun series! Bainbridge and Sparks are two wonderful characters, and the plot was well developed. And the narration is wonderful!

Adore this series!

This is such a charming WWII series with a great hook. Weaver's writing gives Ellie undeniable charm on the page, which translates perfectly to audio. (I read the equally fun first book.) The narrator is fantastic too, even if I do agree she might sound a bit older than Ellie's 24 years. She exudes the right charm, though, and I thoroughly enjoyed the listen!

Absolutely loved this one

This book ticked all the boxes for me. A mixture of WWII, Paris, fashion, enemies-to-lovers romance, and a strong female character. So well written, and the Paris setting and all the Dior fashion...swoon! The narrator was excellent as well, pitch perfect in several accents. Highly recommended!

Great, fun premise. Excellent characters that are multidimensional without being overdone. Loved the friendships. Enough drama to see the book through, but never eye-rolling. Loved that Sophie was confident in herself and yet still imperfect. Narrator did a great job. I listened at 1.1x.

Great book; narration less so, but gets better!

The narration gets better in the last third of the book, but it’s hard to get used to. Especially after listening to Benn’s first few books, which are narrated by another voice actor who did an outstanding job, especially with Billy. The book is excellent as usual, however, and I will give the new narrator a second chance. UPDATE: The narrator gets better and better with subsequent books. His English accents—especially for any English women—could use some work, but overall he has really embodied Billy, Kaz, Big Mike, etc. You can tell he enjoys voicing Billy and that makes the listening and the telling of the story even more enjoyable.

This series is so very good

The characters, the research, the tense situations, the incredible dialogue — every bit is well crafted and so very good. Start with book 1 — BILLY BOYLE — and just keep going. You won’t be disappointed. I read this book when it came out a few years back and was happily reminded how wonderfully written it is. The narrator made Billy, Kaz, Harding, and all the characters really come alive. This series is one of my very favorites!

Another great Amory Ames mystery

Another Great Sarah Booth Mystery

I just love the Sarah Booth Delaney mysteries and this one doesn’t disappoint. Great story that had me guessing until the end. My only issue was there were obvious pauses in the narration from time to time, so not as smooth as it normally is. Kate Forbes did a great kob overall, as usual.
