I do love the style of writing and the narrator is spot on....but as a reader, the evilness seems to over consume, and I sometimes have to step back to regain my control of not going mad. The amount of sufferings and treachery is very apparent yet more than the balance of justice and good. I've read up to this book, and i see 8 total, honestly I don't think I can take more if there's no reprieve in this book. But, I do admire the author because the talent and skill is there, especially with all the other books she's published. I will trudge on lol
UPDATE: YEP, IM DONE READING THIS SERIES...IT'S ACTUALLY MORE FUSTRATING BECAUSE THE GLIMPSE OF GOOD I WAS WAITING FOR IN THE STORY IS VERY BRIEF THEN IT TAKES YOU 10 STEPS BACK INTO THE TREACHERY AND HATE....IM ACTUALLY DISGUSTED. GREAT JOB IN WRITING THE EVIL AND LUST FOR VIOLENCE IN THESE CHARACTER 👍🏽 IT'S MORE ABOUT THEM THEN THE GOOD 🤷🏽♀️

Historia
Tucked away amongst snow-covered mountains is a tiny Australian town with a dark secret. Journalist Patrick Abboud hears whispers that it was once home to the world’s only 'gay prison'. A prison that specifically incarcerated gay men. His investigation into what happened inside reveals the full story for the first time. This queer true-crime journey takes you from underground nightclubs to hidden sex haunts, to remote parts of New Zealand and England. You’ll find yourself entangled in a police cover up, a case of wrongful conviction and a human experiment that didn’t go to plan.
