Historia
For decades the practice of manifestation has been widely dismissed as self-involved, materialistic pseudoscience. But as neuroscientist and recognized compassion leader Dr. James Doty reveals, manifestation introduces us to different possibilities, and it lays the groundwork for a kinder, better world. Doty grounds us in the practices that change our brain structures: attention, meditation, visualization, and compassion. This mind magic allows us to move through the world in ways that help us see clearly.

More technical than a “story”
Revisado: 07-02-24
I went in after listening to a few podcasts cast with the author and plugs for this book. The book is more technical than I expected. Not being an “expert” on the subject being scientific/technical was hard to follow. However, I have listened to several podcasts and really enjoy this author and his personal stories are relatable. The book itself was more scientific than I would have liked.

Parents of ADHD kids - must read!
Revisado: 02-28-24
Jessica tells her story that others can relate to. Hearing her experiences in a relatable way can allow parents to understand how to help their kids move through life with ADHD. Great examples. A simple read but the information weights heavy. I recommend to read if you or someone in your life has ADHD. I can relate to so many points. Keep sharing your story and doing amazing work. This topic is so common yet so misunderstood.

Great concept, but repeats same message
Revisado: 08-28-23
Great Concept… loved some examples offered but repeats the same information every single chapter.
Narrator did keep me listening. Felt I could have skipped most of each chapter. I have listened to a few podcast with the author Todd and enjoyed his message. The book was a repeat of the same message. Was disappointed.

Historia
On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

Crisis leadership with good examples
Revisado: 07-05-23
Good points on crisis leadership during the pandemic. I work in crisis management Most material was relatable and enjoyed the point of view.
Made a few notes but the computer voice narrator was so distracting! Gosh-it was so hard to concentrate. Would be so much better with someone reading the material. The voice is horrible.
