Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes I would recommend the whole series. I read all 5 books starting with The Chronicles. Now that I have finished both series, I loved it so much, I immediately started reading it again starting this time with the Revelations. Now that I am reading for the second time around there is so much more meaning to little clues that the author left and such deeper understanding to the greater scheme of things.I think it really does not matter which set you read first, these 2 series are so complete and well developed that each set holds it's own. This book is really 2 books in one which adds so much value to it.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Besides the lead characters, Myron was my favorite in all the books in which he played a part. So pure and almost childlike in his discovery of the world outside the Abby. He is so funny and lovable while just being his brilliant but clueless, selfless and awestruck self.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene was when Royce, Hadrian, Myron and Ulrich journeyed into Grutara to come face to face with the prisoner Ezra. The entire scenery and characters inside the prison was epic and breathtaking. Would love to see it translated into film cinematography.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Swords and Prisons. A story of lost Kings and Warriors and their journey back to themselves.
Any additional comments?
These books are 2 complete stories that continue one into the other. Great value and best credits I ever spent!!!...

Conspiracy Extraordinaire - My New #1
Revisado: 11-30-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would definitely recommend this book, far more I would recommend the whole series
What did you like best about this story?
Before I got the book I read a review that stated "I did not see the plot coming". I figured armed with that info I would be able to formulate many possible outcomes and so I would not be surprised.
Guess what... I was totally surprised and blown away. I never saw that scenario, I was floored more than once when certain revelations came to light.
I'm not sure what I liked the most, there were so many things. The whole series was so well written, full of action, never a dull moment, plenty of suspense, humor, wonderfully and well built characters.
I laughed, I cried, I was scared, I was elated, my imagination was definitely challenged and satisfied by this totally believable world that was created. I almost want to set out to find this world and it's characters...lol
Which character – as performed by Tim Gerard Reynolds – was your favorite?
The leading characters of Royce and Hadrion were undeniable but I really loved Myron.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
100% YES!!!... I laughed, I cried, I was in suspense, I was scared and elated and excited. nothing was missing. This series has replaced The Infernal Devices as my #1 in a series.

Great Foundation for the Sequel
Revisado: 10-18-13
Where does Seven Forges rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This one has interested me enough to get the sequel ( I hope there is a sequel coming).
The first three quarters of the book was by no means slow but still I was wondering where this is all going. It was all spent building a strong foundation for the characters, for the next in the series.
A little bit predictable at times, as each scene unfolded. All very political and as diplomatic as possible, considering the circumstances of 2 civilizations that thrived for a thousand years with very different rules, customs, practices and beliefs. The reward was in the last quarter of the story.
The last quarter the story took such an unexpected turn. As events started to almost simultaneously occur, all things predictable was gone and the book ended in a series of cliffhangers and with the promise of a very unpredictable, action packed and magical sequel.
I hope there is a sequel really soon.
Would you recommend Seven Forges to your friends? Why or why not?
Absolutely would recommend it but I may have to wait for news of the sequel. Nobody likes to be left hanging.
Which character – as performed by David de Vries – was your favorite?
Suvek.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Nothing in particular stands out. There were a few moments of jesting which was funny and made me chuckle.

Exceeded Expectations
Revisado: 06-01-13
Would you listen to The Clockwork Princess again? Why?
Yes I would but I would listen to the full series again. It never disappointed me.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked that Tessa, through her journey of life was able to have a life with both of her loves, in their own time.
Have you listened to any of Daniel Sharman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I have not. But I did enjoy his narration.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, of course that would be when she transformed herself into the Angel
Any additional comments?
I did enjoy, very much, all 3 books in this series, however it was a little disorienting having different narrators for each book.

Love Triangle Extraordinaire
Revisado: 05-28-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes I absolutely would recommend this book also. Sometimes in a series, one book is better than the other. So far the 2 I have read, have had me totally engulfed and getting even more deeply invested into the lives and outcomes of these so very interesting characters and the dynamics of their daily lives being riddled with danger and wrapped in this heart felt love triangle.
I can definitely see this in a movie...
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Clockwork Prince?
Most memorable for me is Nate dying in Tess's arms. Even with all he put her through, she still had such feeling for him and remembered how they used to be.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene was obviously when Will and Tessa were on the balcony at the party getting lost in their feelings for one another. OBVIOUSLY...
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes I cried a couple of times, when Will thought Tessa was dead, when Jem was trying to explain his feelings to Tessa and also when Will finally revealed to Tessa what happened to him and confessed his all consuming love for her.
I also laughed quite a few times.
Any additional comments?
I didn't care for the singing. Maybe the words of the songs could have been read out. It was like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Gripping!!!... Most Excellent...
Revisado: 05-24-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Clockwork Angel to be better than the print version?
I have never read the print version. But what an odd question... What was different from the print version?
What was one of the most memorable moments of Clockwork Angel?
My most memorable would be the whole scene when Tessa met Camille for the first time.
What does Jennifer Ehle bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The voice overs were really good. The narrator has quite a convincing range.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes... Absolutely. It never was dull and always moved forward with good interest.

Good but not great
Revisado: 05-12-13
Would you listen to Green again? Why?
Nah... While it was interesting to see the resolve unfold, it was a little too realistic to me. I like my fantasy books to be totally magical, distant and full of imagination. This one read like a story of a girl growing up in India. Even down to the detail of the Pardeens and an ox becoming a God. It all sounds like Indian culture and beliefs. Not that this is good or bad, it just didn't arouse my imagination very much.
Would you be willing to try another book from Jay Lake? Why or why not?
Nah... First impressions and all, there is just too much available out there.
What about Katherine Kellgren’s performance did you like?
Performance was good.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not the whole thing. Some parts yes but other parts dragged on a bit, especially in the beginning.

Captivating Redemption
Revisado: 04-04-13
Would you listen to The Third Book of Swords again? Why?
Yes, I probably would. This one was captivating form the first chapter, full of action and a lot of resolve from the first 2 books.
What other book might you compare The Third Book of Swords to and why?
Comparable to book 1 in the series for the action and interest it holds. Also I would compare it to Warbreaker for an amazing ride of a story and a very satisfying resolve
What about Derek Perkins’s performance did you like?
As with the first 2 books he was great. I still think some of the characters should have had a more powerful voice based on their personalities but overall his voice was very engulfing.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Swords of Fate

A little disappointed
Revisado: 04-03-13
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would recommend this book with caution. It is the continuation of book one and it must be read in order to go on to book three, however, it was slow and I had to make an extra effort to stay interested.
If you’ve listened to books by Fred Saberhagen before, how does this one compare?
I have not listened to other books by him except for book one in this series and this one pales by comparison
What about Derek Perkins’s performance did you like?
Great voice overs for each character. Rise and fall of tone to make for interest. Some of the characters could have used a little more powerful voice based on their descriptions but overall I still think he was excellent
Do you think The Second Book of Swords needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Sure it needs a follow-up because the story is not over. There hasn't been a resolve to the whole scheme of things yet. I just hope the last book holds more interest.

Never a dull moment
Revisado: 04-01-13
If you could sum up The First Book of Swords in three words, what would they be?
Action packed, Characters to identify with, Captivating story line... Sorry that was three phrases...lol
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sir Andrew. He still so much wants to see the good in humanity no matter how bad the person or situation is.
What about Derek Perkins’s performance did you like?
Excellent narrator. i would give him 10 stars if possible. Voice characterization, appropriate speed of narration and rise and fall of the voice to induce mood and excitement.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not really. Only moments of extreme suspense and relief
Any additional comments?
I liked that it was a relatively short book because it was so captivating that I wanted to finish the whole thing as quickly as possible. I'm definitely gonna get the next 2.
My only dislike is that it ended a little abruptly in suspense and it is not an independent book. A person MUST get the other books to find real resolve in the story, but I guess that's the point of a series?...lol
