Great Story w/ Some Narration Errors

I really enjoyed this story line and appreciated the redemption shown through the levels of several characters. I look forward to enjoying more of this author’s books!

The audio version was a bit surprising to me as there were a number of errors that I imagine were somehow overlooked during editing. Several times lines were repeated and in Chapter 17 you can hear the narrator make an error, snap his fingers and re-record it. I thought he did a nice job reading it, I was just very surprised at the number of errors that were left in place. Since different chapters are written from different character’s points of view, you do have to pay attention so as not to get confused.

Overall, I’d recommend this book, I just wish the recording could be edited properly so as not to distract from the storyline or what would’ve been good narration.

Fantastic!

I absolutely loved this book! The author did such a wonderful job developing the characters that I found myself smiling and “awww”-ing outloud as relationships formed and grew throughout the story. The content kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning and the narrator was absolutely top notch and engaging in her delivery. I also appreciate the author taking the opportunity to bring to light the very real and prevalent issue of human trafficking in her story. I don’t think many are aware that this issue occurs everywhere and that there are more than 40 million people enslaved worldwide. The statistics truly are staggering. I pray that through this story, others will seek ways they can work in their communities to end it. Check out enditmovement.com for ways to make a difference. Edge of my seat!

This book had me hooked right from the start! The narration was fantastic and the storyline kept me on the edge of my seat! I was thankful to have a long car ride so I could enjoy the entire book in one day. Another great addition to this series!

Beautiful, beautiful story

I can't begin to express just how much I enjoyed the beauty of this story. The characters are so well developed and I enjoyed the way different people took turns telling aspects of the story from their own perspectives. (I read that other reviewers were bothered by the narrator who spoke for Auggie, but it didn't bother me one bit.) The messages of this book are definitely needed in our day and age, when many feel so free to speak their thoughts freely (usually from behind the safety/anonymity of a screen) without regard to others feelings. "Kinder than is necessary. Because it's not enough to be kind. One should be kinder than needed."
