This is my second time reading this series and it is not disappointing! Urban fantasy and the start of a long, fun series. The beginning is a bit weird if you don't know what's going on, but it's worth it to keep going!

This was a fun RH book without any real end. Seriously, it felt like it just ended mid scene. This was close to a four stars, but the ending brought it down to a firm three. Do I want to read the second book? Yes. Am I going to? Maybe. Depends on the price. It did not make me want to drop a bunch of money to read the next book when it might end like this one did.

A children's book both children and adults will enjoy! Eleven-year-old Tilly lost her mom as a baby, and no one seemingly knows what happened to her. Tilly grew up above her grandparents' bookstore (I'm not jealous or anything!), so she is fairly well-read! What she doesn't know is that she is a part of a secret family line of Bookwonderers! People with the ability to jump into books and live within the pages. Tilly and her best friend soon find themselves book hoping, and quickly realizing that it's not all fun and games. If you lose your book, you could be trapped in the story. If you send yourself into a dangerous scene, you are in very real danger. You (temporarily) write yourself into the story, so the characters interact with you, as you become a part of the story!

Of course, not all is what it seems, and another, dangerous, bookwonderer is following our young explorers!

June Jones, a beloved librarian in a small library tucked within a small town, does not like to pay any attention to her... at all. She has a fear of speaking up or out, so when the library is up for review on whether or not it should stay open, she has to find her own way to show she cares and why libraries are important. Perhaps sending the stripper to get the library to give it some press was a little overkill, though? This is a fun book just to sit back and enjoy!

The narrator absolutely ruined what might have been a 5 star book. She has good voices! But she only uses the voices if the characters are talking. Otherwise, no matter who's POV you're listening to, she uses the exact same woman's voice. Character male and British? Well, his POV is in a slightly high-pitched American girls voice. Girl from New Orleans, nope, her POV is in the same slightly high-pitched plane accent women's voice.

I get so into the books I listen to that my brain skims over a chapter change. So, I am dependent on voices telling me when I am listening to a new character. That never happened until a context clue poped up and I realze that at some point the character changed and I had it in my head that I was listening to a different character, which changes a lot of what I just listened to, but I don't know how much of it...

I spent more time just trying to figure all of this out that I missed massive sections of important scenes and... I wish I had just read the kKindle version. The narrator seriously messed this series up.

The Nerrorator! Also... was there a plot?

I'm still trying to figure out what the plot was. Girl goes to London on a school exchange program for 3 weeks?!? What's the point in that? She gets there, kisses the first teen guy she meets then also starts to like the other teen guy she will be living with. That's it. That was the whole book.

To top it all off, I listened to the audiobook and...whoever was responsible for making the decision on the nerrorator needs a new job. The nerrorator isn't bad. She has the voice of the MC down pat. The problem comes when you
A. Realize that's the only voice she is good at so all the characters sound the same.
B. She can only speak in an American accent. 98% of this takes place in London... everyone has an American accent.
There are books she could read really well with her limitations. This was not one of them.

Maybe there was a plot, but I was so annoyed by the nerrorator that I missed it!

I was given the audiobook in exchange for a review and my only regret is that the second book isn't out on audio yet. It won't be until the end of July before the book is even out!

I hope Krys Janae is able to narrate the rest of the series, because she did an excellent job with this first book.

When an alien species blesses the world with powers, humans soon find its not really the blessing it was supposed to be since the powers are killing people. Lee can travel through realms but it comes with a horrible catch, it's killing her faster then most.

Fall in love with a new band of thieves, all of them have magic and they are not only trying to steal for money, but to save Lee's life as well. And then there's the hot FBI agent. Oh and a lot of really bad people, too. :)

The Book: This was a fun book that starts with the girl finds mate, mate rejects girl story line. Then the Lycan come in and the real fun begins!

The Narration: The voice and story telling Kamala dose was great. The problem was none of the many mistakes were edited out. At one point she devolves into a coughing fit. When you're lost in the story and lines are repeating, coughing etc, it jurks you right out of the world abruptly. Every Narration has its mistakes, but they should be edited out at the end.

I am in the beginning stages of becoming a voice actress. So my life at the moment is about learning. This book was very helpful even if it is centered mainly around working in a professional studio. I can't afford to work in a professional studio unless one is being paid for, for me, so I am building my own quiet studio on a walk in closet. This book is great when it comes to the ins and outs of narrating. I just wished they had more of a section for people who will be all in one narrator, producer and editor. But then, they run their own studio so they have people to do that for them, so they wouldn't know that info.
