Historia
Examining murder from an insider’s perspective, Matt Murphy—a former senior deputy district attorney and current ABC News legal analyst—discusses cases from his career, how they strained his personal life, and how he found peace seeking justice for victims and their families. Part taxonomy of murder, part prosecutor’s handbook, and part personal memoir, The Book of Murder goes through a dozen cases and his recollections of his 26 years in the Orange County DA’s office (17 in the Homicide Unit).

Historia
Candy Montgomery and Betty Gore had a lot in common: They sang together in the Methodist church choir, their daughters were best friends, and their husbands had good jobs working for technology companies in the North Dallas suburbs known as Silicon Prairie. But beneath the placid surface of their seemingly perfect lives, both women simmered with unspoken frustrations and unanswered desires. On a hot summer day in 1980, the secret passions and jealousies that linked Candy and Betty exploded into murderous rage.

The handcuffed and chained patient, Oscar Bane, has specifically asked for her, and when she literally has her gloved hands on him, he begins to talk—and the story he has to tell turns out to be one of the most bizarre she has ever heard.

Revisado: 08-25-24
The book was great, like always :) the narrator did a good job but i feel like they did Lucys voice very very different from other reads as Lucy. I wasn't a big fan of the over all feel of her character in this one. And I really like her character....there was no emotions to Lucy in this 1. My only complaint and its not really a "complaint" ;)

narrator needed to know spanish :(
Revisado: 12-04-23
it was a good book, as in well written. sad smack of reality forsure! glad he was alive to tell his story. jus heart breaking memories to have! the narrator definitely mis pronounced a few spanish words which was kind of annoying and would be better told by someone who understands what they are reading lol all in all though a good book, i couldnt stop listening at some points!

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

i love kings books and watched the show for thos book, books ate always better! the only thing i have any lil issue with is the narrator :( he speaks very low throughout and than very loud at others so the volume is up and down! it took a min to get used to the tone of his voice beside the volumes lol

Historia
When the bodies of three teenagers were found on the shores of Lake Waco, Texas, in July 1982, even seasoned lawmen were taken aback by the savage mutilation and degradation to which they had been subjected. Yet only 52 days after the gruesome triple-murder was discovered, frustrated authorities suspended the case indefinitely. Patrol Sergeant Truman Simons, who had been called to the scene that night, saw the carnage firsthand - and vowed to find the ferocious killer or killers. He soon became a man with a mission, risking his career and his family's safety in search of evidence.

so far so good! ive listened to the narrator on a few other audio books and i love his soothing voice!! i do get a lil annoyed with how many times the author uses "youngsters" i am only on chapter 9 as of now and probably heard "youngsters" about 900 times lol
very sad case and am looking foward too hearing if and how it was solved!!!

this is a delphi case book right??
Revisado: 05-24-23
I bought the book cus i listen to TCG and LUV IT! Have been listening for a cpl years now! I knew Nic had an extra interest in the delphi case so I was pretty stoked and happy for him when this came out! I was a lil surprised there wasnt much on the case itself. Or anything that was like "holy sh!t i didnt know that". But I also know the trial has not cone to head yet. I really hope he comes out with an updated one when the trial gets over, but I'm sure they will cover it on TCG. It was a good listen/read and i do recommend it 👌 congrats nic!!
