Historia
In sports, everybody loves redemption stories, the underdog who no one believes in but through sheer hard work wins it all. But no one tells the stories of the players who work hard and don’t make it. In pro football, 53 guys get on the roster. Ten make it to the practice squad. And then there’s the 64th Man - that’s Billy Logan (Cena), who seems to always be one spot from glory.

Awesome narrative and story
Revisado: 02-13-21
I am normally not a football type fan, but the story of a young person never quitting and doing anything to try and make it work, reminds us all just how hard life is if your not born with a silver spoon. Excellent job recommended listen.

The only thing that can save the people of Intrepid are the Imperial Marines. The only thing that can save the galaxy itself, is the Imperial Navy. Through grit, determination, skill, and deception he will use whatever or whoever he must to win. His fleet of starships and their crews are the best ever. But will they be enough to defeat this new threat. Sergeant Dex Carter finds himself and a few fellow Marines behind enemy lines. He is tasked with holding the small village of Drake’s Rift, the key crossroads that might very well determine the outcome of the war. Alicia Miller wanted adventure, but having aliens invade her home was not on her list. She and the people of Drake's Rift neve expected to become the center of an inter-galactic war. While providence may have thrust her into this role. Toughness and determination will see her through it.

Historia
Best-selling author Bryan Burrough recently made a shocking discovery: The small town of Temple, Texas, where he had grown up, had harbored a dark secret. One of his high school classmates, Danny Corwin, was a vicious serial killer. In this chilling tale, Burrough raises important questions of whether serial killers can be recognized before they kill or rehabilitated after they do. It is also a story of Texas politics and power that led the good citizens of the town of Temple to enable a demon who was their worst nightmare.

Narrator is reading the book-not writing the story
Revisado: 03-24-19
A lot of reviewers slam the narrator, but if your not reading along with the book in front of you (seeing the exclamation points), how can you be a fair critic? Audiobooks are not movies, with a storyline changed by a screenwriter or producer. It is read from a black and white text. I too would have liked a lot more of the actual story, but the story is 30 years old and I suspect not everything is at a researchers fingertips. A lot of hands on meeting and interviews took place to make this book, and I commend the author.

War heroes aren't usually called out of semi-retirement and sent to the far reaches of the galaxy for a routine investigation. So when Colonel Carl Butler answers the call from an old and powerful friend, he knows it's something big - and he's not being told the whole story. A high councilor's son has gone MIA out of Cappa Base, the space station orbiting a battle-ravaged planet. The young lieutenant had been wounded and evacuated - but there's no record of him having ever arrived at hospital command.

Same zombie apocalypse story bit well read
Revisado: 07-13-18
If you like zombie apocalypse you’ll get the same out of this one as all others, well read and realistic...for the most part. Nothing too ridiculous and very down to earth as far as available resources. Recommended

Historia
As the world's biggest powers compete for superiority, it's not larger weapons or greater numbers of soldiers that top their wish lists. Instead, it's the latest and greatest technological advances: nanotechnology, dynamic programming algorithms, and drones, working together to build the next generation of military communications. When a professor at a Texas university begins researching ways to improve animal husbandry and boost global food supplies, her results catch the eye of inquisitive engineer Keith Austin Avery, whose interests have nothing to do with solving world hunger. But as Avery works on potential new uses for this technology, his research draws the attention of a powerful terrorist group, with traumatic results for him and his subcontractor Eilla-Zan Marshall.

A real world new tech business model for smugglers
Revisado: 02-18-18
Yes, you read correctly- smart drug and money laundering! Although they come off as dopey...they are actually pretty smart. Throughout the book characters trade witty jokes and put- downs that left me laughing days later. That being said, at times it can get a little slow...same old same old again- but all in all a great read about smugglers trying to get a leg up and hardly wiping the prize. Great narration no complaints there.
This is my honest review- worth the money and a good long book!

Interesting, complex, funny and worth your time
Revisado: 12-15-17
First off this is a long listen, Narrations are decent and you know what character is speaking. The storyline is a mix between soap opera / kardashian / real life.... involving major drug dealers figuring out how to make more money by being smarter and more efficient at the same time living their daily lives. You hear first hand how the characters use banking and secure communications planes etc.. to make it in the world (yes - offshore) at the same time still being funny throughout the book. Some areas had me laughing for awhile (still laughing). This isn’t a book for the little ones to hear, there are some parts that had me cringing. It is a complicated story and you can get lost in areas, more than once I had to back up and listen again, But that’s ok, it’s that good of a story. I think this will become a movie one day, the storyline is that good.
Overall...a good long listen, intriguing, funny and worth your time.
