I thought I wouldn't like it much,

..but I was wrong, I enjoyed this book very much. I had even deleted it from my "library" a while back to bring down the # of titles listed. Looking for something different I saw it again as a suggested book on my audible "home" page ..... I'm really glad I gave it a chance. A good story with very likeable characters, suspenseful and romance with believeable XXX scenes.
An included bonus 2nd story was about characters already developed in the 1st book and I found I really enjoyed the bonus as well. Could have been written in the storyline of the first. After 14hrs, what's a few more! Ha ha!

Pie in the sky realism...

I really enjoyed the story, even though I think it's an unrealistic portrayal of a motorcycle club. Except, perhaps in an alternate universe.... Yes, I do like pie, and sky pie is a favorite!

Loved the story. As usual, I had a grin on my face after reading one of Ms. Hoffman's tales. She's an expert at weaving with words a wonderful tapestry in one"s mind. Mentally scrumptious.

Someone, anyone, please write an ending to this story. The way this story is left unfinished is frustrating! Maybe have a contest or something to see who can come up with the best acceptable ending. Okay, that's a stupid idea, but come on, really? To just "cliffhanger" the last book in the series?

Did I miss the ending because it was in an earlier book that wasn't included in the plus catalog for free? If I had paid for the premium books and was still left hanging at the end of the series I'd be more than a little angry. Wait, the plus catalog included books aren't free, I pay a membership fee. Well, hell.

Yes, Mac was an ass but Taylor made me lol so many times I really enjoyed this audio book... Right up until the very ridiculous end that was like the author just didn't finish. Or her manuscript was dropped, the bottom stack of pages were lost somehow, no one cared and published it anyway. Either way, not cool.

may have descriptions of animal cruelty

I had to stop when a story began to be about domesticated animals and pets being used as bait. Bait for exactly what I didn't find out. My first thought was how dog fighters obtain live targets for making their dogs more vicious snd I want no more pictures in my head than I already have. The stories before that one were interesting enough, and I did enjoy the authors style. People should be aware of what can happen when they give away free puppies, kittens, rabbits, and even older pets. The people who fight dogs are good at lying and making like they will provide good caring homes. If I am wrong about where the story was going I am sorry and I apologize.

I'm glad I didn't skip this book. It made me miss my mom, I hadn't felt that sharp a heartache in a while. Don"t let my sentimentality get in the way though. The story was refreshingly different.
