Historia
Man and Superman was the first drama to be broadcast on the BBC's Third Programme on October 1, 1946. To celebrate Radio 3's 50th anniversary, the play was directed by Sir Peter Hall, and preserved for all time in this lush audio dramatization. 'A comedy and a philosophy', Man and Superman is based on the Don Juan theme, and using all the elements from Mozart's Don Giovanni, Shaw reordered them so that Don Juan becomes the quarry instead of the huntsman.

A masterpiece and a riveting performance by the reader
Revisado: 05-27-15
An incredible and inspiring journey by an Englishman from his monotonous existence complicated by a death sentence in the form of inoperable cancer to the Canadian Rocky Mountains where he found a new purpose in his life pursuing the dreams of his late grandfather. It's a story of hope and determination. Knowing that he had nothing to lose, and driven by the desire to clear his grandfather's name, the protagonist defied impossible odds. I must add that the artful performance by Mark Elstob gave life to the character and made the experience a real joy. Highly recommended

Historia
They dismissed the Mary Deare as ‘a piece of leaking ironmongery taken off the junk heap’. For 40 years this 6,000-ton freighter had tramped the seas, suffered shipwreck twice, and been torpedoed three times in two world wars. Then one March night, battered and bruised and empty, she emerged from severe Biscay gales into the English Channel - and into the newspaper headlines. Here was a ship of mystery and tragedy... in one of the greatest sea stories of all time.

Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.
