New to the Earpverse as of a few months, but an immediate fan. Really cool to experience the awesome cast and stories through another medium. Outstanding performances and the writing is top tier!

If you’re new too, I highly recommend you jump into the extensive world of Wynonna Earp. You’ll get lost in the best way.

Great story and well done performance by Hayley and cast. I easily saw this as a movie while reading/listening. The setting took me back to my own teenage years and I appreciated that. Read like a 2000s era “80s cult classic”. Loved it. Brb jamming to Girls Like Girls as I head to Pride.

Another great book in another great series by Jeff Wheeler. I stumbled upon his work a couple years ago now and have read/listened through just about everything he’s written. He’s created a world that’s easy to submerse yourself in. Amazing story-telling. To top it off, I prefer listening to the books on audible because Kate Rudd is an absolute legend and brings the characters to life. Love seeing Ransom’s character continue to evolve in this particular series. Starting the next book now!

I’ve read a lot of self-development books. Each spouting their own version of “here’s the hidden key to success!”: how to build the best mindset, how to be your own boss/start a business, etc.

My appreciation for this book is it takes a step back to get to the root of why we want more money or time, and from that foundation we identify the many options to achieve that - not just “build the next must have widget and sell millions” (although if that’s your goal, that’s an option).

Instead, this book provides processes to identify which path to financial independence and freedom to choose what to do with your time, works best for you and your family. For some, that’s throwing all eggs into your “next big thing” basket. For others, it’s having a successful side hustle alongside a fulfilling job and sticking to a savings plan. This is a perfect guide to “you do you”.

Some may find the narration/audio snippets cheesy, but the content is worth it. Will be listening again.

Like a few reviewers for this book, I fall into that category of “I don’t write reviews often.” There are a lot of books I enjoy, few challenge me to re-evaluate my outlook on life and bring ultimate goals into sharp focus.

This book is for you, if you are like me: I got out of college and started working for corporate America. Everyone told me how lucky I was to land this job, using my degree. And my goals for professional and life success were to work up that ladder as high as I could until I died or was on the closer end to dying. Then, ironically I would start living freely.

This was a depressing outlook from the beginning and it didn’t take long before I started looking for alternative paths. Searching for another way to live sustainably, successfully, and fulfilled - on my time. Not someone else’s. And by my standards of happiness. I started with considering a different job field. Maybe I needed to go back to a money-draining university. Get a different degree. Work at a different corporation. That still didn’t feel right. That morphed into “follow my passion”. Maybe open a side business. Freelance until I can consult full-time. I was getting closer, but I was still stuck on the fact that (a) interests/passions come and go - I couldn’t see myself doing the same thing for decades and (b) more importantly I was still trading time for money. Period. That was the critical problem. No “be happy” self help book or “plan your retirement” book provided the sort of enlightenment and strategy I was looking for.

UNSCRIPTED did that. It filled in the gaps I was missing. Yes I wanted to build capital - but quickly. Because I wanted to unleash my time from income BEFORE I’m 65. Or at the very least start trying. There are so many nuggets of insight and wisdom behind the methodology in this book and it’s capped with hard evidence of how to utilize capital to support you now, not 40 years from now. I will be reading this multiple times. It’s well worth the purchase.

Mel Robbins’ coaching and feedback sessions always provide the right amount of personal experience versus research-backed analysis. This is by far my favorite audible book of hers. There is certainly something to glean from each session. It serves as a reminder we’re all working on similar goals, despite the details of individual circumstances.

This is only the second lesbian romance novel I’ve read, but I thought it was well written and I enjoyed learning a few wine tips along the way. The voices were a little hard to get used to at first, but overall the performance was good. As for the story, I wish the ending had been smoother, and less abrupt. However, the interactions and events leading to that point were a fun read.

I’ve always enjoyed the storytelling style and subject matter of Dan Brown books and Origins is no different. It’s the perfect mix of reality and sci-fi elements. And of course, with Professor Robert Langdon leading the way this story unravels in an exciting rush to discover the truth. This is my favorite one yet!

The narration by Paul Michael was also incredible and really brought this story to life. Definitely recommend.

I don’t review books, but I really felt empowered after reading this book. Like most, I’ve always been a fan of Nike but reading “Shoe Dog” really opened my eyes to why I feel such a strong connection to a brand, a material thing. Following the story of Phil Knight’s journey in pursuit of his passion is contagious and he provides great foundations for running a business - even through the relentless challenges. It’s a perfectly balanced story of business and personal growth, with all the highs and lows and the continuous battle for self victory. Incredibly easy to listen to as well!
