Fitness Motivator With Real Advice
Revisado: 02-03-23
Enjoyed this audio book very much BUT it got a little too preachy at times for my taste. I found some of the references to movies and video games too childish. I've been an adult for a long time, so these are wasted on me. Still, it does contain great advice and a real plan on how to get and stay fit. Dietary advice and exercise routines are pretty inspiring for someone looking for a concrete way to enhance their body, look good and feel confident. All in all, a good listening experience...

Historia
The grid is an accident of history and of culture, in no way intrinsic to how we produce, deliver and consume electrical power. Yet this is the system the United States ended up with, a jerry-built structure now so rickety and near collapse that a strong wind or a hot day can bring it to a grinding halt. The grid is now under threat from a new source: renewable and variable energy, which puts stress on its logics as much as its components.

Excellent Narration And Enjoyable
Revisado: 03-29-21
Gretchen Bakke gives us a peek into the electrical past, present and possible future of the power grid. She shows how most of us are vulnerable to inevitable blackouts, unaware of how really dependent we are on the grid. I'm really happy I bought this Audible book and highly recommend it if you're at all interested in how the electric grid affects us all around the world on a daily basis and have concerns about needed reforms.

Historia
Take a look at the vehicle sitting in your driveway. It may be the last one you ever own. With an estimated 33 million fully autonomous cars and taxis projected to hit the road by 2040, an automotive renaissance is soon to be upon us. Personal car ownership currently costs the average sedan owner $9,000 annually. But car ownership may soon be a thing of the past.

Good First Look Ahead
Revisado: 03-15-21
Good Overview Of The Possible Impact Of Driverless Vehicles On Society. Nobody can predict the future but this book really made me think about the overall implications of autonomous transportation. It opened my eyes to things societally that I hadn't considered. This makes it a great read for anyone concerned with how modernization will affect society in the near future. I would actually have given it 4.5 stars if it was an option. However, it got a little tedious near the end. Overall, I liked it and recommend it.
