Sometimes waxing colorful drama detracts.

Though seeking to paint a more accurate picture by showing Florence to be more human than legend, falls short by creating a romance novel in the spirit of Jane Austin. The faith, passion, and drive of Flo-Ni was borne in adolescence and cemented in the Crimea, both barely mentioned in the book.

A Cozy "Reader's Digest" Version of and by Smokey

Fun & Unapologetic Except 4 Bad Customer Service

This book is a funny, entertaining, and witty book in the Tom Stranger Series. The in-character addressing of critics and criticisms of the first book is hilarious. Readers with politically correct sensitivities need to approach this book with caution.

Clean and Funny, But Would Not Entertain Kids

Very clean content, but kids will not be entertained. His jokes are at the adult level. While impressive this comedian had material for an hour and a half, he is not at the threshold that I would pay for. I would not take kids to his show unless I didn't have a sitter.

This Audio Presentation is for children

Some of the characters are too strained in their performance. This Audio Presentation/Adaption is meant for children. Could have been made much better and needs to be if aimed at an adult audience. However, the characters Hook and Smee are fantastic, and should have been the model/standard for the performances of the other characters.

ANTIFA Propaganda Advocating Murder and Violence

Glorifies criminals and gangsters who un-remorsefully harmed innocent people long before they battled any evil Nazi. This is a sick attempt to support ANTIFA illegal, violent, hateful agenda. The real heroes against the Nazi were the Soldiers and police who found against them and brought down their criminal activities. Very wrong for Audible to support a violent hate group.

Always Winter and Never Christmas, Oh The Holidays

Like an Audible version of very late night NPR (Is anyone listening?) There is no shame in saying Merry Christmas, oh and Happy Holidays. But if you are having a nice little Holiday gathering why try to put a Dickens ghost story for filler? Dickens is fantastic, but this is out of place. The modified "Indian Story" was cute and appropriate, however the "Holiday" bashing with cynical carols seems counter to the very idea removing Christmas from the Holidays. Maybe bring Christmas back to the Holidays and people will be less sad and dark? Just an idea.

Crude, Profane, and Very Funny

John is a fantastic comedian and can tell a good story. If you are a fan, you will be quite entertained. Not much depth on any History, however it is only an hour and eighteen minutes long. Warning, this is not for young kids (PG13) for strong language and sexual themes.
