Historia
Unchained from fate, the Norse gods Loki and Hel are ready to unleash Ragnarok, a.k.a. the Apocalypse, upon the earth. They’ve made allies on the darker side of many pantheons, and there’s a globe-spanning battle brewing that ancient Druid Atticus O’Sullivan will be hardpressed to survive, much less win.

Beautiful charming story
Revisado: 12-30-16
If you could sum up From Tours to Paris in three words, what would they be?
Unexpected, engaging, lovely
Have you listened to any of Lucy Floyd’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
All of it. I couldn't imagine living abroad on a journey of self-discovery without my family or friends to be there with me.

A Delightful Read
Revisado: 11-29-16
At first I couldn't quite figure out why I loved this book. My husband asked how it was and I replied, Great! then he asked why and I couldn't come up with the right words. I mean it has a good story and good writing but that's all generic. Then while listening to a friend I realized why I enjoyed this book so much. The entire book, from beginning to end, felt like I was listening to a dear friend tell me all about their adventure. it was familiar yet new, comforting and intriguing all at the same time. I loved it.

Historia
A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets 16-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

Mediocre

Just not that gripping of a story. The mystery and danger just never felt engaging enough for me. I only finished it because it was a quick read.
