Historia
Finally, he's mine, and I can say that out in public. Luke McDowell, one of the most beloved public figures in America, is mine. Forever. At least that's what we said. But love is different in the harsh glare of the spotlight. Sometimes it feels like the whole world's against us. Now our unofficial honeymoon is over. Luke is back at Evermore, trying to live the life he had before he met me. Trying to say "yes" to his calling. I can't tell how this will play out.

Enough with the sex
Revisado: 10-12-21
I listened to the previous 3 books. Loved them. I think I might like the story line behind this book, but ENOUGH WITH THE SEX. A hot scene every once in a while is great, but I feel like this book could be cut in half if a quarter of the sex scenes were removed. It seems like Ella James got tired of creating good connections away from sex.

Historia
There's nothing like being blackmailed by a dead man to really bring a group of cons together. And what a group we are: a hacker, a thief, a con artist, a thug, and a Federal agent with an ax to grind. The deal is simple: We do the jobs, and Charlie's lawyer wipes the slate clean for each of us, one at a time. Since job number one calls for some muscle, it looks like I'm up first.

CHANGE NARRATOR
Revisado: 03-24-20
Please match the narrators voice to the descriptions. The Pfeiffer twins are described as angelic. The narrator’s voice for them sounds like a 30 year smoker with a beer gut!!!!

Barton has no power!!
Revisado: 01-25-16
If you could sum up Feverborn in three words, what would they be?
Honestly, KMM, did you listen to the new narration objectively? I'm lost & can't even decide if I will listen to the rest of the book. KMM, reading the book is one thing. Your storyline & dialogue carry it. I think you failed to appreciate the power narration has in audible books. You really ruined an incredible series with the weak narrator you choose.
Would you recommend Feverborn to your friends? Why or why not?
No
How did the narrator detract from the book?
No similar personality to the original narrator. It's not like Phil Gigsmte only narrated one book. He WAS Barron & Ryodan!!!!!!
Any additional comments?
Cancel thus publication & re-do the book w/ the original narrators.

Need a new narrator, but apparently, too late!
Revisado: 12-16-14
Would you listen to No Longer a Gentleman again? Why?
Yes, if I could get past the narrator.
What did you like best about this story?
The story line & characters.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator should have listened to the previous books. Kiri did not (& SHOULD not) have a strong Indian accent. She is half Englis & was raised in English military camps. But more important, she did not gave an Indian accent in the previous books!!!! Additionally, the narrator makes the main male characters sound like they are elderly. Unfortunately, the next two books have the same narrator. The publishers obviously don't read the listeners reviews. I may not finish this book or buy the next ones.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes & no. I had a hard time tolerating the narrator for any length of time.

Historia
Desperate to escape his mother's matchmaking, Vincent Hunt, Viscount Darleigh, flees to a remote country village. But even there, another marital trap is sprung. So when Miss Sophia Fry's intervention on his behalf finds her unceremoniously booted from her guardian's home, Vincent is compelled to act. He may have been blinded in battle, but he can see a solution to both their problems: marriage. At first, quiet, unassuming Sophia rejects Vincent's proposal. But when such a gloriously handsome man persuades her that he needs a wife of his own choosing as much as she needs protection from destitution, she agrees.

Great New narrator but should listen to old narrat
Revisado: 09-24-14
Any additional comments?
I love Rosalyn Landor as a narrator; however, when she takes over for an old narrator, she should try to continue their character portrayals. Her voice for Hugo was completely in contrast with his personality as portrayed in the first book. New narrators are fine, but continuation within a series is also important.

Historia
Best-selling author Monica McCarty captivates millions with swashbuckling Scottish romances like The Hawk. Brilliant seafarer Erik MacSorley has never encountered a gale he couldn’t weather or a woman he couldn’t win—until he drags a wet, halfclothed “nursemaid” from the Irish Sea. But Ellie’s ordinary dress belies the truth that she’s the spirited daughter of an Irish nobleman. And her determination to resist Erik’s charms is a challenge he can’t resist.

Please change narrators
Revisado: 11-06-12
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would recommend another Monica McCarty book first with a different narrator. How the producers could choose a narrator with such a horrible Scottish accent is beyond me. It ruins the whole character of Hawk. If this were the first Monica McCarty book I listened to, unfortunately, it would be the last.
What other book might you compare The Hawk to and why?
Stephen King's "11-22-63". I coukdn't finish it because of the poor narration.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Completely destroyed the book for me.
Was The Hawk worth the listening time?
It is another good Monica McCarty book. I just truly struggled through the narration.
