Historia
Every year, the empire administers the rite of passage into adulthood. That rite serves to identify those blessed by Aether to become magi. The new magi are shipped to the academy to learn the arts of magic. The academy is a dangerous place; the tournaments held twice each year can cripple or kill the students, and the clans of the empire will go to great lengths to recruit the students they want. Gregory had one dream: to become a magi like the legends of old. Though he was ridiculed by the residents of the village and his unsupportive father, he never wavered from his dream.

This is the first series that I've re-listened to immediately after completing the current number of books. I am catching new things all the time.

Historia
Not every man can handle a magitech gauntlet that speaks in floating silver text, or a handful of women with unique...needs. I’m not every man. When a bad blind date got worse - like, interdimensional lightning storm worse - I woke up to a realm of dragon women, magical kobolds, and a playful monkey girl with a painful secret. I also accidentally (totally on purpose) stole an ancient artifact in the form of a black gauntlet that bonded with my body and unlocked various new abilities. So what’s the catch? The glove wasn’t meant for me. It was meant for the fabled Hero of Silura.

Badassery? How about Douchbaggery.
Revisado: 04-25-24
This story is just one womanizing situation to another. Haven't been able to put together why ANY woman would willingly spend time with the MC. I realize that HaremLit novels aren't the most flattering for woman, but most MC's have a respect for the women that surround them. Not this one it seems.

Painful to listen to
Revisado: 09-08-23
The story was pretty good, but so difficult to listen to with this particular narrator. She pauses between every 2 words and even if you speed it up there are noticeable gaps in language that make the story impossible to follow. Throw in an English accent and you may as well need a translator. In addition, every part of the book is read aloud as if the narrator is on the verge of tears. It's beyond infuriating. I genuinely wonder if this was actually a good story overshadowed by overacting or if this book is begging to be read by anyone else.

So, Evan must travel across Rahma to win back the lords’ loyalty to the king. And he’s more motivated than ever now, because he will soon become a father. Another Author that Doesn't Understand Distance
Revisado: 01-23-22
Story is awesome. I love the character development, the erotic scenes are well described without getting uncouth. The fight scenes are nice especially since not everything goes the main characters way. However, I have one complaint. This appears to be an issue with many authors. They don't understand distance. Spoiler here. There is one scene where the author describes a VAST distance as 70 yards. Then describes how long it takes to travel that distance in an emergency. Just for reference a HUMAN has run 40 yard dash in 4.22 seconds. That's less than 8 seconds to go 70.
