I LOVE THIS AUTHOR'S BOOKS BUT GIVEN THE WARNINGS I WAS EXPECTING SOMETHING MUCH DARKER. I LIKE DARK SO I WAS ANTICIPATING THE RELEASE OF THIS BOOK AND I WAS EXPECTING SOMETHING THAT SURPASSED THE "CJ ROBERTS" CATEGORY OF "DARK" BUT IT FELL A LITTLE SHORT. IT WAS STILL A GREAT STORY AS WITH ALL OF HER BOOKS. HER STORIES ARE ALWAYS INTERESTING AND GO BEYOND THE NORM. THEY ALWAYS CAPTURE YOUR ATTENTION RIGHT AWAY AND HAVE SEXY DETAILED LOVE SCENES THAT THAT MAKE YOU PANT! I BUY HER BOOKS AS SOON AS THEY ARE RELEASED AND ALWAYS WITH ANTICIPATION OF WHERE HER IMAGINATION IS GOING TO TAKE ME!

This author gets great reviews for her books so I bought this one based on that alone and it was so boring. The only reason I kept listening was because I was waiting for it to get good or for something to happen.....anything to happen?? and it never did. Not only was it a waste of money but a waste of my time.

The Cajun accents were the first thing that was different about this story that immediately captured my attention. This narrator was excellent. AND the storyline was excellent! The lead man was so seductive and non-repentant. The back & forth feelings that both characters struggled with and thought they were sure about only to change with a new perspective.....I automatically bought her second book in this series.

This narrator was much better than Kitty in book two. This was a happy ending to a great series. I can't wait for Anna Zaires new stuff to come out. This is an author that I will buy her books without even listening to the samples because I know they won't disappoint.

This is one of my all time favorite authors! Her stories never disappoint me! The Krinar Chronicles are the most uniquely written storylines I have ever read. The main male character is so arrogant and bold and over the following two books you see him turn almost human. The sensuality of the sex scenes is so intimate.....and incredibly illustrative. You cannot stop with the first book. This makes Shades of Gray boring!
