Historia
We know the legends: Arthur brought justice to a land that had known only cruelty and force; his father, Uther, carved a kingdom out of the chaos of the fallen Roman Empire; the sword Excalibur, drawn from stone by England's greatest king. But legends do not tell the whole tale. Legends do not tell of the despairing Roman soldiers, abandoned by their empire, faced with the choice of fleeing back to Rome, or struggling to create a last stronghold against the barbarian onslaughts from the north and east.

Historia
They were the leaders, the men who made the decisions that change the outcome of battles... and the fate of continents. From the awesome landing at Normandy to the torturous campaigns of the South Pacific, from the frozen hills of Korea to the devastated wastes of Dien Bien Phu, they had earned their stars. Now they led America’s finest against her most relentless enemy deep in the jungles of Southeast Asia. It was a new kind of war, but the Generals led a new kind of army, ready for battle - and glory...

Veteran of the brotherhood of war
Revisado: 10-21-19
I joined the US Military in 1960 and retired in 1990. I was an Army aviator in Vietnam. Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, 26 awards of the Air Medal. Between my brother and I spanned the entire period of service from the Constabulary in Germany through the Vietnam war. We were aware of, a party to, or participant in essentially all of the major events of this series. I loved these books as they told the story of this period of my life in very personal terms and brought back events of my career in very believable and and very enjoyable form.

Historia
Dien Bien Phu. Saigon. Hanoi. In 1954, they were only exotic names from a French campaign halfway around the world. But now American fighting men - proven on the bloody beaches of Normandy and in the minefields of Korea - are summoned to help beat back the guerilla forces of Ho Chi Minh. To some, the “secret” war in Indochina was the depth of folly. To others, like the majors, it pointed to the heights of glory.

A splendid telling of military men and the environment of the story of the earliest days of Army Aviation. An excellent representation of the good and bad of the men who bring forth major changes in the military services.

Historia
Nearly 100 years before the events of Orson Scott Card's bestselling novel Ender's Game, humans were just beginning to step off Earth and out into the Solar System. A thin web of ships in both asteroid belts; a few stations; a corporate settlement on Luna. No one had seen any sign of other space-faring races; everyone expected that First Contact, if it came, would happen in the future, in the empty reaches between the stars. Then a young navigator on a distant mining ship saw something moving too fast, heading directly for our sun.

You could not find a prequel that flows as smoothly toward the later episodes and the outstanding development of the characters found in the later episodes.
