Tear Jerker....inspirational!
Revisado: 05-05-22
Where do I start. I lost track of the times I cried while running and listening to this book. So many stories that I think most people can relate to in some shape. I recently heard David has passed and it broke my heart! Literally I felt like the world lost someone special. An example of how it's NEVER too late in life to redefine yourself. Such a good book. They way he reads it, I felt like he was crying at time which would get to me too! Don't pass on this book. Dive in, and go for the ride.

Historia
Finding Ultra is Rich Roll's incredible but true account of achieving one of the most awe-inspiring midlife physical transformations ever. One evening in 2006, before turning 40, Rich experienced a chilling glimpse of his future. Nearly 50 pounds overweight at the time and unable to climb the stairs without stopping, he plunged into a new way of eating that made processed foods off-limits and prioritized plant nutrition and daily training. Rich morphed - in mere months - from out-of-shape midlifer to endurance machine. Revised and updated edition with a new and original foreword and a bonus chapter.

SO crazy!
Revisado: 05-05-22
Whenever I watch movies, I always wonder what the back story is. I love that books get a chance to give that to us. Rich does an awesome job of telling us about his life before he became the ULTRA man! Truly inspiring and honestly has motivated me in ways beyond belief. I hope you continue to push the envelope. Great book to listen to while running!

Great book to listen to while running
Revisado: 05-05-22
I listen to things that interest me and motivate me while I run or drive to work. This book was great. Cory does a great job showing that hard work can make even though most "average" of us do amazing things. I love the humor throughout the book. A lot of people critique audio books when the author reads their own book. I think its bold and allows him to get his emotions across in the book. Can wait until we read about your next adventure.

The story starts off as you would imagine, but goes deeper than ever. There are so many twist and turns, yet your understanding just grows and grows with each chapter. The ending leaves you wanting more.

Historia
On the morning of December 22, 2005, New York City firefighter Matt Long was cycling to work when he was struck by and sucked under a 20-ton bus making an illegal turn. The injuries he sustained pushed him within inches of death. Miraculously, after five months in the hospital and more than 40 operations, Matt was able to start his recovery. This book chronicles Matt's road to recovery as he teaches himself to walk again and, a mere three years later, to run in the 2008 New York City Marathon.

I listend to this while I was running, and going through a minor injury. This book will make you laugh, cry, and understand what it takes to push through your minor tweaks. If a man can get ran over by a bus, and then run a marathon, what can YOU do?!!
