Historia
What’s a straight guy to do when he accidentally goes on a date with his brand new gym-bro? Offer to be the best wingman ever, of course! It’s foolproof. Joey needs a man? I’ll find him one. He wants someone who looks, well, kind of like me? No problem! Not into watersports? I’ve got him covered. The issue is, going on all these dates with Joey makes me realize I want more of his time to be spent with me. I like the guy. And his smile. And the way he makes me feel like anything is possible.

It could’ve been so much better
Revisado: 04-27-25
I wish this book had 2 or more narrators. It would’ve been nice if the guy tried to made a difference between the two voices. I could barely keep track of which character was which. The story was good and fun. It would’ve been 10 times better with 2 narrators. By the last hour of the book I was over it. It was so predictable and imaginative.

Historia
James Petika is living the single gay life he always wanted. A police officer in Chicago, he has a good job, good friends—and he’s two thousand miles away from his family’s expectations. He also has a problem: he needs a date for his sister’s wedding in Missoula, Montana, but his family has no idea that he’s gay, and he’d like to keep it that way. The solution? Daniel Bonafonte aka Lala Traviata, the queen of the Chicago drag scene.

The concept
Revisado: 03-09-25
This book would be 10 times better if there were at least 2 narrators. The same guy reading the whole book, with no change in his voice was annoying and distracting. The cop could’ve had a much butcher voice, to show that he was a straight passing cop. The drag queen could’ve been as flamboyant as she wanted to while in drag, but more feminine while dressed as the girlfriend.
